Hi, Jacky here. Thought I would stop by and remind you about the “DRY EMBOSSING” challenge. Entries close on the 15th of January, so you still have plenty of time to enter. Just send a photo or scanner of your entry here paulaclark-fiskars@netspace.net.au
I couldn’t resist the challenge. So I made up some cards using some air dry modelling compound which I pressed on to a textured plate, then dry brushed some paint over the image. This made a really nice embellishment for the front of the cards. I got this idea from some cake decorate I met at a craft show, they were using the Fiskars texture plate to texture royal icing for their cakes!!
.
Remember you don’t have to use Fiskars tools for this challenge. There are plenty of textured surfacing around the house you could use to create some texture, simply by placing your cardstock over the textured surface and rubbing
Here’s a couple I thought of….
* My Sons’ green logo board
* Bathroom Tiles
* Old lettering templates
* The outside of the esky
Anything that has a lumpy bumpy surface.
Keep Embossing
Jacky

What great ideas! I have to ask- what's an esky?

An esky is an insulated box that Australian use to keep their food and drinks cool when they go on picnic. Its got lots of little bumps all over it.
