Why not get out some of your stamps and punches....some coloured pens.....some scraps of felt.....and play around mixing and matching....stamping and punching...just allow yourself to play!
See what you come up with.......I love to create cards for family and friends....so I find I can relax by playing around with product and seeing what I can come up with....I rarely look at a magazine now for inspiration....inspiration for me comes from within!
I also love to use my FISKARS TOOLS in creative ways......eg...I rarely set eyelets with the Fiskars Eyelet Setter.....I use it to punch holes on my work like in the card at the top left.....see the three holes.....you could also do this using a FISKARS 1/4" HAND PUNCH.
I haven't used my FISKARS PINKING SHEARS for ages.......but I sure had fun using them to cut out the black and red self adhesive felt in three of the cards above.....
I have used 4 different sets of FISKARS acrylic stamps to create my 4 cards.....can you name them?

Oh ... fiskars pinking shears are on my wish list ... I'm sure I'd use them daily if I had some! Lovely cards, black and white with a splash of colour is always so very effective.

I have driven through plenty of these states, and a lot have better signs then you posted. This is especially true of New Jersey. The one you posted is funny, but they do have "real" welcome signs, not just digital boards.
