My BABY turns 27 today!

What do you get a 27 year old male for his birthday?  My BABY ....TIM.....turns "27" TODAY!

I had to put my thinking cap on for this one I might add.....LOL!

Here's what I came up with......

An RACV Membership and Card...seeing he travels all over the place with his job as a carpenter/builder.

I decided to get out my trusty Fiskars Tools and create a fairly plain card using some two -tone cardstock I had in my stash.

So out came the Fiskars Craft Mat,UltraXpress Shapcutter and Ovals Template......

I cut out one of the ovals and distressed around the edges with my emery board so that the white core shows through.......then cut along the one edge of the folded card using the side of the template and my USE.This edge was also distressed using my Emery Board.

Next.....got out a few more tools.....emery board,heat gun,embossing pad and powder ,white acrylic paint and brush.

I searched and found some chipboard numbers in my stash....a "2" and a "7" and then used some white acrylic paint to paint them.....oops forgot to take a pic of the paint brush and my mess......LOL! Oh well...never mind.....you don't really want to see my mess do you.....LOL!

Next I applied two coats to the numbers.....once dry I embossed them using some clear embossing powder.......adhered to the top of the cut oval shape....and then I placed some 3 -D foam underneath the oval and adhered to the front of the Card.

I then hand wrote a birthday message to Tim inside using my White Gel Pen.

Card DONE!!

I purchased the RACV Membership on-line......but you can purchase these in any RACV Shop...it's just that we live miles away from the nearest one so it was easier for me to do it on-line!

Tip: You could use this idea for any birthday and just change the numbers to suit!

thank you ladies.....we have had a lovely birthday dinner tonight here at home for Tim...he is in bed now though as he has a very early start for work in the morning....but ,Michael,Brendan,Sally and Samuel are still with us....
