As christmas is getting closer, now is the time to do all your prep work for the big day. who wants to rush around 24 hours before christmas day.
Today i am going to share a cute little christmas tree place card you can make in advance store flat and pop it up when you are ready to put it on the table.
THese are so simple to make.
First you need to grab some scrapbook paper or card. i have used kaisercraft silly season. you can make 4 place cards from 1 12 x 12 sheet.
Draw a hexagonal or print one approx. 14cm accross. I did this in word paint printed it and cut it out to make a template.
Use this template to cut out your hexagonal on your scrapbook paper/card.
Then take your fiskars trimmer and score corner to corner and in between the 2 corners i have numbered them in the picture below.
once you have done this. look at the picture i have above and following the numbers fold numbers 1.2 and 3 so your design paper faces on the outside and fold flat again and with numbers 4,5 and 6 fold so the paper design is on the inside. this will give the concertina effect so we can fold out christmas tree.
THen cut a little slit in the middle approx 1 1/2 cm wide for your star.
Punch out a star using your Fiskars star squeeze punch. I have used a medium punch but a bigger one would be fine too.
Write your guests name on the star.
Fold your hexagonal so i becomes a tree shape. i put a little bit of adhesive onto the inside so the tree will keep its shape.
place your star on the top in the slit and there you have it! a cute place card to pop on your christmas table!

These are adorable. Might have to try them even though I'm not having the feast here!
