Most houses don't have chiminies around Christchurch any more...... well because of the quakes and all.... so this year I thought a Magic Key for Santa is needed.
You will need:
1. Plastic takeaway container
2. Fiskars micro tip scissors
3. Fiskars Trimmer
4. Fiskars boarder punch "give it a swirl"
5. Tim Holtz grunge board key
6. Gold embossing powder
7. Versamark pad and pen
8. Helmar craft glue
9. Heat gun
step 1:
Measure your inside of the lid
then punch corners to round them.
Then stick the paper to the inside of the lid.
step2:
heat emboss your key with gold
add ribbon at the top. I attached it with glue.
Step 3:
Attach the key to the inside of the lid.
Decorate inside of lid.
With Versamark pen write "Santa's key" at the top and heat emboss with gold.
Step 4:
Decorate main part of container on the inside by punching strips of paper and glueing in place.
Step 5:
Put the base on the lid of the container....
step 6:
attach to outside of house near door.... I used blue tack.
you are finished!
Now Santa can come inside drop off the pressies and then lock the door behind him.
have a groovy Christmas. And his key is protected by the weather. Of course the magic key also deactivates the alarm too and reactivates it when Santa leaves. Magic is a wonderful thing!

Fun project Debbie - the kids will enjoy it every time they come to the door :)
