Fetchy Sketchy Friday - A summer double

Hi all here we are again with another Fetchy Sketchy Friday.
Remember we are now fortnightly ;)

Heres the sketch:

Here is my example:

My first Double A4 sized layout... I think it worked out really cool.

The tools:

Fiskars interchangeable boarder punch cartridges.... Lacy Doubles and Ivy League
Fiskars MiroTip scissors
Fiskars SureCut trimmer

The Ivy Legue was punched then cut in a thin strip. Then a thin double sided tape put on the back and then formed into a swirl onto the layout.

The dark brown patterned paper was hand stamped by me - the tutorial for that is here.

I also made my clay flower embellishment out of Delight Clay and Amaizing mold putty with the help of a friends broach.

And the fluffy stuff is Flower Soft.

The small strip of colour represents the contrast or embellishment colour to make it pop!
I'm kind of hooked on colour guides at the moment.... It helps so much don't you think?
