Hi everyone,
I haven't had much time to craft the past few weeks but I did manage to finish off this UFO (Un Finished Object) ......I decided to use my Fiskars Embossing Stencil that comes with the SCRAPBOSS to embosss some flowers and butterflies onto this CD Wall Hanger I started a few years ago....yes...it's been that long.....LOL!
I have decided to give this to GEMMA (my grandaughter) for her bedroom wall.....
Here's what I gathered up for this project!
Materials used:
3 used CD'S
ribbon
metal ring
Helmar 450 Adhesive, 3 D foam,DS Tape
Cardstock , stickers
paint
Tools used:
Fiskars Craft Mat
Fiskars Ultra Xpress Shapecutter
Fiskars Circle Template
Fiskars Surecut Trimmer
Fiskars Microtip Scissors
Paint Brush
I found 3 used CD'S......painted them about 1" in from the edge ...I actually did two coats of paint....
I then cut 3 Circles using my Fiskars Craft Mat,USE and Circles Template! Next I traced around a CD......3 times onto Purple Bazzil Cardstock....this was used on the back of the CD'S.
I found some Nursery Rhyme Stickers in amongst my stash....so I added them to the front of the altered CD'S.....and EMBOSSED around them......I added a little 3-D Foam underneath each sticker.....
I embossed the purple paper first....and then distressed the embossing with a White Ink Pad......
The circles were adhered to the front of the CD'S using some Double Sided Tape.
The ribbon goes in between the Purple Cardstock and the back of the CD'S....adhered with Helmar 450 Adhesive.......
Do you like to EMBOSS on your projects? I haven't used this technique for such a long time....but I must admit I love to do this on my projects......so what can I EMBOSS next!!
Do you have an EMBOSSING TECHNIQUE/TIP or TRICK that you would be willing to share with us all?
We love seeing what our Readers do with their FISKARS TOOLS.....feel free to share your ideas with us here at :

Cute wall hanger Lyn!!!
Great idea to use old CD's and love your embossing - the flower on your middle circle with Humpty Dumpty is one of my favourites :)

This is delightful Lyn and you know Gemma will love it! I love the added glitter and it always feels good to finish a UFP, even two years later. I have several older than that.
