I love making personalised cards for birthdays and when I can, I try to include their favourite colour/s.
I was very lucky to find that Kaisercraft had a stack called Fairy Tales that captured Caitlin's colour request perfectly.
I had already decided that I wanted to make a mis-matched banner, so out came all my essential tools ... just realised that my handy dandy circle Plier Punch missed being part of the photoshoot!
Everything came together and the result is Caitlin's 8th birthday card
The banner base is purple beading wire and I twisted some purple metallic thread around it, so that there is a little bit of sparkle in the gaps.
The "8" is from a pack of American Crafts DIY Thickers - you just peel off the top and apply glitter to suit your project. I was tempted to put purple or aqua but crystal clear won out as I think the little bit of white helps balance the colours.
I used Helmar 450 Quick Dry to adhere most of the layers and Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots to make different parts of the banner sit at different heights.
Hope you have a crafty day,
Tracy :)
PS - if you are interested in the Fiskars tools used, they are 12x12 Self Healing Craft Mat, Finger Tip Craft Knife, Micro-Tip Scissors, Ovals Shape Template, Circle Plier Punch and LOTS of squeeze punches - Jenni Bowlin Banners Away, XL & L Cameo Appearance (scalloped oval), XL & L Tag You're It, Jenni Bowlin Blue Ribbon and last but definitely not least, L One Way (arrow, to cut out the points of the tag banner bits).

This is amazing!! Love your fun and fabulous banner and all these soft and sweet colors. This is one of my favorite KC lines.
