Some of our Fiskars Demonstrators have been hard at work designing some fabulous projects since they received some samples of the fabulous NEW Fiskars Interchangeable Border Punches.....
Today's project has come through from Angela O'Neil from Brisbane,Queensland.....
Ange has used the "X Marks the Spot " Cartridge to create this wonderful birthday card for her son!!
She has also used some of the " PAPER BOYZ" Range of products from Bella.
Ange has gone back to Primary Teaching......having Grade 3 this year.....she tells me she is loving it but still finds time to craft and go to Crops with her friends.
Isn't it nice to see one of Ange's projects again? We'll be sharing more of Ange's projects in the next week....so keep an eye on the Blog!

Here is a little project I whipped up using my USE on the weekend. I was taking a bottle of wine over to a BBQ and just wanted something to dress it up a little. I had seen a die that I could buy but in true Fiskateer fashion, I thought, "I can make that with what I already have!!"
I started with a semi circle that was 3" wide. I then cut a 2" circle from the middle. I then went and cut down from the semicircle and scored at an equal distance down from the hole. I stamped some pretty flowers on the background (Kaisercraft) and then added some extra bits and pieces.
This would look great not only on wine, but on anything with a neck you take with you next time you BBQ!

WOW....what a busy weekend for our Fiskars Craft Demonstrators......on Saturday Angela O'Neal was crafting up a storm in Queensland at Spotlight Mt Gravatt and sent through these pics.....
Ange was pleased to see some Teenagers sitting down to try the tools and create a little Make'n'take Project......learning some tips and tricks along the way with Ange. Love the Card using circles and stamps.....punches,etc.
Dawn was also out and about in Ballarat Spotlight in Victoria....so keep an eye on here for more pics as they come through.....
I'm resting up a bit today after a full on fabulous craft weekend working for Maurie and Kerry at FernGully Stamps in Boronia.....I had an absolute blast. teaching others some fun punching techniques and sharing some tips and tricks....I'm still on such a positive high.....LOL! A real buzz ...this weekend......love ,love love working at this store........more pics to come over the next few days......once I download......

Just letting you all know that Fiskars Demonstrator Angela O'Neil is going to be facilitating a Fiskars Craft Clinic this coming Saturday October 23rd......in Spotlight Mt Gravatt,Queensland.

So I have spent the past few days working with the divine Jill Geraghty Groves, teaching and assisting in each others classes at the Fiskars Classroom Number ONE at the Scrapbooking and Papercraft (Brisbane) Convention. I thought you might like to see a few photos I took over the weekend...

The classes were all very successful, with lots of sell outs and very happy attendees:

Jill and I had a wonderful three days.. it is always so great to spend time with like -minded people... And it was very cool to see the BRIGHT orange FISKARS bags, bobbing about on scrapper's shoulders in the huge crowds !
One thing we didnt manage to get was a photo of Jill and I together! We were just TOO busy! :(

9.30am to 11.30am - SOLD OUT
Skill level: Advanced scrapbooking skills, and have a desire for fun and colour and art.
You will create a 12 x 12 layout, including three to four 5cm x 5cm photos, hand journaling, and a stunning cottage and garden collage. You will make your own mini houses for this layout, and decorate them to suit your own style. This is a fun and joyful class to take, as you will be playing with some beautiful product, and some fabulous new tools from Fiskars. Your finished project will be a perfect addition to your scrapbook, an easel in your art room, or framed on a wall in your home. You will need to know basic scrapbooking skills, and be open to a relaxed and more arty way of creating, and you will need to be ready for a jolly and productive time.
Class includes:
The use of many fabulous Fiskars tools: Fiskars Squeeze Punches (NEW Scalloped varieties) Eyelet Setters, Stamping tools which include NEW Stamp Factory and Stamp Press, Fingertip Craft Knife, NEW Fingertip Rotary Cutter, (some inks and art stamps for the project will be supplied). PLUS your extensive project kit with a beautiful range of papers from 7Gypsies, Coredinations cardstock, 97% complete sticker sheet, a ribbon pack, brads and buttons, plus your own set of letter stamps to keep!
Students are to bring:

3 photos, each 5cm x 5cm of your home, garden or a room you love
Inks - any that you have that you like to use
Fine tip black pen

Kindy glitz and dimensional magic (or similar) may be added after the class for extra prettiness. We will not be adding this in class though as it takes time to dry.

Skill level: Need to know how to use a trimmer
In this class you will make a gorgeous name banner for a girl's bedroom (with the option however to make a generic coloured banner if you are wanting to make one for a boy). You will learn techniques such as punching, template work, fussy cutting and stamping as well as general tips on creating 'off the page' items. We will be using Fiskars tools, papers and embellishments from the Chatterbox range. This will be a fairly busy class, so make sure you bring plenty of energy.
Class includes:
A page kit from Chatterbox as well as fabric and chipboard to complete your banner. You will have the chance to use the following Fiskars tools: Squeeze Punches, Ultra Shape Express, Jumbo Templates, NEW Fingertip Swivel Knife, Acrylic Stamps, NEW Stamp Factory and NEW Fingertip Rotary Cutter.
Students are to bring:
Expo Tool Kit
Paint Brush
Foam Tape
Kindy Glitz can be added at the class or at home
Class cost: $50
Session 3
2.30pm to 4.30pm SOLD OUT Saturday/Sunday.....still vacancies for Monday
Skill level: All levels
You will make a gorgeous wall hanging display using three tiny canvases suitable for any home. Learn wonderful techniques including layering, distressing and vintaging. You will only need to know the basics, Jill will teach you the rest.
Class includes: use of Fiskars tools including: Trimmer, Squeeze Punches, NEW Stamp Factory, Craft Drill, Scissors. Project kit will consist of mini canvases, Paper from 7Gypsies, Coredinations cardstock, Stamps from 7Gypsies and Making Memories, Basic Grey Embellishments, Ribbon and Embossing powders.
Students are to bring:
Expo Tool Kit
Edge distressing tools
Glue/double sided tape
Distressing ink (any dark brown colour)
No photos are required
Class cost: $50

Hi everyone! How are BOM challenges coming along? Today the focus is your favourite indulgence, what do you love to do that makes you feel like you are spoiling yourself?
For me it is our weekly movie nights, every Saturday without fail (unless we go on a date ;)) my husband and I either rent a movie or watch one we have IQed with a bowl of freshly popped popcorn and a nice cold drink. It is the one time in the week when I don't try and multi task, or get up in the ads to clear the dishes or put on another load of washing or send an email...there is always something else I should be doing! So when Saturday rolls around, I am more than ready for a little indugence in sitting still for a couple of hours and watching a movie with my hubby by my side!
Don't tell anyone, but sometimes we even watch TWO!!!
Wow...this is a first! I don't think this layout has seen the light of day for many years!
I thought I would today share the story of how I started scrapbooking...
It all started back in 1999 when I was posted to Rockhampton as a primary school teacher (hi all up there!!!) I had started stamping the year before and was getting ready to make our wedding invitations when the Stamping Down Under Show was scheduled to come to Brisbane. Back then, there were very few craft stores in Rocky, so I jumped at the chance to go and get some more stamps! A friend and I came down for the weekend and went both days! It was so much fun but I didn't buy a single stamp. Instead I spent all my money on a new thing they were calling 'Scrapbooking'. I still remember the first layout I saw with a tent in the top corner for someone's 21st! I was totally enthralled by anything they could show me and while there were not a lot of products to choose from I certainly poured over them for hours! I came home with a few templates and a pack of black and white paper with a camera theme! I loved fitting lots of photos onto my page and I made all my own accents for a long time, until someone started importing them for me actually!
By the time we were married, back in Brisbane and we had had our first baby, a couple of scrapbooking shops had started to open up around the place. I quickly made myself known at one and was soon teaching and working there. It was one of the biggest stores I have ever seen and whenever new stock arrived it was sold out within the week!!! While there were a few companies emerging, there was nothing like the range of products we now have on offer!
A couple of Aussie mags had started up by now too. One layout that has always stuck out in my mind is a fairy one that Lyn did! I think it was in an early Scrabooking Memories???
Anyway, 10 years later I am still totally in love with this hobby. Notonly has my style changed over the years, but my love of photogaphy has found an outlet! I have learned so much and gron a lot as a person through scrapping too! It really has become a way of life for me!
So without further ado...my first layout...

Well it's set up day today at Craftfest in Queensland on the GOLD COAST!Show opens tomorrow at 10am for the public!
You won't mistake the FISKARS STAND......it stands a mile high.....LOL!
So if you are wanting some crafting fun and you live in the area......or even if you live in Brisbane why not make the trip down from Brisbane for a great day out with friends.
There is so much fun stuff happening at Craftfest this year.....lots to see and do....including an APRON COMPETITION..and if you would like to dabble in some paper crafting fun...then the Fiskars Paper Inspirations Stand is a must see this Friday ,Saturday and Sunday!
Everyone loves to play RIGHT? Well sometimes we as adults don't allow ourselves to do just that....so come along and have fun playing and having fun with Ange,Glenda,Merle,Jill and Ngaire!
