Spotlight Gepps Cross Store opening ~ Fiskars Demonstration

Hi everyone,

Just letting you all know that we shall have a Fiskars Demonstrator in-store for the Opening of the NEW  store in Gepps Cross South Australia this coming Saturday.

Jayne Killin shall be in-store between 11am -2pm on Saturday November 21st.

So pop on in if you are near by for some Fiskars fun.....try a tool or two and have some fun ME TIME crafting!!

We hope to be able to have more Fiskars Craft instore demos happening in SA in the near future.....we love spreading the love of Fiskars even further.

Spotlight Cairns Pics

Hello, well i am finally getting around to posting some pics of the Fiskars Demo Spotlight night...

It was a fun night with a steady stream of people stopping in to say hello and have a play with the tools. It was lovely to see some familiar faces and to meet some new ones, in particular the squeeze punches were popular as well as the shapecutter and stamps.

I always seems to struggle with taking photos at these events, not sure why, but anyway i took Christopher with me this time and he got a few photos right at the end of the night. Michelle and Beryl enjoyed testing tools and just watching.

The very talented Bonnie was also there doing some beading demonstrations, a few of her creations you can see in the bottom right hand corner. (Christopher was very impressed with the bells!) 

This is Jenny the craft manager, we could hear her jingling with bells in her hair all around the shop!!

The girls had the store looking very christmassy and had made a lovely display for our demo area, complete with decorated trees, chairs, nibbles, punch, specials and giveaways throughout the night. Christopher was kept busy helping the girls hide presents throughout the store and he was given the very important job at the end of the night - to draw the winners out of the hat!! No doubt he will want to come next time ;0)

The girls always make me feel welcome and very generously presented me with a box of chocolates at the end YUMMO - thanks girls ;0), and a craft gift for Christopher too!!

If you haven't been to one of these nights, you really must, it is well worth the effort, always bargains to be had, giveaways and inspirational hands-on demos from of different crafts.

"Oh what a night" ~ Spotlight Bairnsdale ~Lyn

WOW......What a fun filled night we had last night in Spotlight Bairnsdale!

Carolyn made the trip down with me and we sure had a fun night with the BAIRNSDALE Spotlight staff and customers........this store has great leaders in Kelly(store manager) and Coral(craft manager)........and it was obvious from the moment we arrived in store that we were in for a fun night of crafting!!

The whole staff were enthusiastic and passionate about what they were doing......and after being invited for dinner before we started.....we had some laughs and fun before the doors opened.

 

        

Here's Kelly on the phone which she was using all night as a loud speaker to announce door prize winners.......this lady is so enthusiastic and passionate about what she does and the rest of her staff are amazing.....well done to all of you ...and thanks for making Carolyn and I so welcome.....we had a great night and were flat out all night with Make'n'takes,,,,tools demoing......and just sharing our love of crafting with others in the EAST GIPPSLAND area.......thanks everyone!! xoxo Lyn

SPOTLIGHT CAIRNS :0)

HELLO!!

How are you all?

Like the other Demonstrators and Ambassadors i too will be out and about TONIGHT IN CAIRNS SPOTLIGHT. I will have all my tools with me and i am madly working on some frames and cards to inspire you in a festive way!!

I have been giving the squeeze punches a workout to make funky little chrissy trees, wanna peak?....

 

  
 
 No,  not traditional colours in our house this year ;0)

I will have my LATEST FAVOURITE TOOL - the fingertip control rotary cutter (hope i got that name correct!!) If you haven't tried out this little baby you don't know what you're missing. Works fantastically on paper and fabric, so we will give it a whirl tonight, cut some fabric, do a little stamping and see what we can make ;0)

Border punches, squeeze punches, ultra shape express, stamp blocks and stamps, trimmers, eyelet setters, all there for you to have a play.

Almost forgot..... if a shapeboss embossing system has been on your wishlist, i hear they are going out the door TONIGHT BETWEEN 6 AND 9 FOR HALF PRICE, so grab yourself a bargain.

How many HONKS did we get?

Hi everyone,

Just checking in from down here in East Gippsland where Carolyn and I are having a lovely crafting time by the water.......

Well....what fun we had driving down the Princes Highway on Sunday getting honks along the way......

We actually got 5 honks on our journey down here......so  congratulations to

Kelly S   and Roseblossom both are Fiskateers.......fantastic ladies.......so we have 2 winners as you were both correct........well done!!

Thank you to everyone who played along with us....it has been fun.....could both winners please send through your postal details so that I can post out your prizes......you shall both get the scissors and stickers.

Carolyn and I are now relaxing and getting ready for a fun FILLED NIGHT TONIGHT in Spotlight Bairnsdale.

Well I'm looking forward to my next Fiskars Demonstration and Make'n'take Session in Bairnsdale Spotlight this coming Tuesday.November 10th from 6-9pm for their Xmas VIP Night.

.....woohoo......heading down to EAST GIPPSLAND tomorrow with Carolyn.......stopping on the way for lunch somewhere....hit a few shops to do some retail therapy...who knows what time we'll arrive......LOL!

Don't worry you won't miss us.....I have put the "Honk if You're Crafty" sticker that Rebecca Peck (US Lead Fiskateer)sent over to me on the back of my car........so let's see how many "HONKS" we get driving down the Princes Highway and around town......LOL! I hope it comes off or I'm in trouble when hubby gets home.......he,he.

I'm going to give way a pair of Fiskars 8" scissors  and a couple of these funky stickers to the reader who correctly guesses the number of "HONKS" we get on the 3 hour trip down there...HONK HONK.......so leave a comment and your guess below for a chance to win......lol!!

So what do you think? Shall we get a few honks on the way down? Might also lay an orange boa across my back window ........OMG.......this is going to be such fun!!

Spotlight Xmas VIP Night ~ November 10th

Well are you starting to feel a bit Christmassy after seeing Donna's gorgeous cards the past few days.....?

Next Tuesday November 10th Fiskars Demonstrators shall be out in full force around Australia crafting up a storm in many stores.....so check the list over on the righthand side and see if there is a Fiskars Demonstrator/Ambassador coming to a store near you next week.

The ladies all shall be bringing some Fiskars Tools with them for you to try before you buy....and we'll also be offering some fun Make'n'takes so that you can have-a-go at crafting yourself......so why not join in with all the fun.....most Spotlight stores have this as their Xmas VIP Night...so check your local store for times......most are from 6-9pm.

The girls shall all have some of the NEW scallop punches with them....yeha!

Can't wait to get down to BAIRNSDALE SPOTLIGHT with my groupies down there....we always have a great time.....and I know that Craft Manager Coral has been working hard to ensure that all her staff are well prepared for a fun filled night!! It's a rule down there you have to get into the Xmas spirit by donning a hat....wearing something Christmassy.......right up my alley.....LOL!

mmm.....I might just have a few  goodies to give away on the night...so spread the word if you live in the BAIRNSDALE area........

Spotlight VIP Christmas Night ~November 10th

Here's a sneak peek at the fun Christmas Card that our Fiskars Craft Demonstrators shall be teaching as a little Make'n'take project on November 10th in several Spotlight stores around Australia.

These Spotlight Themed Nights are such fun and our demonstrators love getting involved....especially when they also get to play with some new product.......all girls shall be coming with some of the NEW Fiskars Scallop Squeeze Punches and a Border Punch.....have you seen these yet?

They are so easy to use.......even the kids can use them....the girls shall all have the heart and square punches with them....as well as as a variety of other wonderful Fisakrs Tools for you to try before you buy!

These will make great stocking fillers for Christmas...so if you like them......why not grab a few and put away......or perhaps drop a hint to hubby......LOL!

Personally I can't wait to done my SANTA HAT  with my good friend Carolyn as we make our way down to EAST GIPPSLAND for this VIP NIGHT of fun ....we'll be in SPOTLIGHT BAIRNSDALE from 6-9pm.

Tamara loves to demonstrate Fiskars Tools in Townsville QLD

Hi everyone,

Have you seen the list of Fiskars Events that are happening over the next few months ? Have a peek over on the righthand sidebar......we have several Fiskars Ambassadors and Demonstrators Out and About around Australia including Tamara from Townsville in Queensland.

Here is what Tamara had to say about here last Spotlight demonstration in Townsville....she shall be back in Spotlight Townsville on November 10th from 6-9pm for the store's VIP Christmas Night.

One of the items I had to demo was the Fiskars Stamp Factory – This is a pretty cool tool especially if you have a lot of one design to do.  The ink that you use (a high pigment ink from Fiskars) is also absolutely fantastic!  It is really black and stands out on the cardstock and is perfect for heat embossing!

This one is a gift card size, some bright and funky cardstock and cocktails, what better combination could there be??

I stamped the images onto the cardstock, coloured them with coloured pencils and added the + and= signs with a black pen.

Another one with some colouring.

This one was heat embossed with some glitter embossing powder – sorry but it doesn’t show up as well in the photo!

Two similar designs to show how you can use the same design for multiple events.  One is an invitation design which could be an engagement, wedding invitation or bridal shower and the other as a congratulations card, useful for an engagement or wedding present.

Again two similar but slightly different designs, to show that you don’t need to have a lot of things to make cards that look good!  These are some cardstock, patterned paper and satin ribbon.

Spotlight Morayfield (QLD) Fiskars Demo/Make'n'takes ~ Oct.18th

  next fun Fiskars Session.........

Hi everyone,

Just letting our Queensland readers know that the next Fiskars Make'n'take/Demonstration Session is being held this coming Sunday October 18th at Spotlight Morayfield to join in with the Birthday Celebrations at this store.

Beth shall be in-store from 12 -2 with lots of fun Fiskars Tools for you to play with......so why not pop in and have a play.....create a little Make'n'take project and just learn a few tricks about the Fiskars Tools.

Did you know that Beth is not only a Papercrafter but also an experienced quilter.....in fact Beth shall be demoing the wonderful range of Fiskars Quilting Tools next week at the BRISBANE CRAFT AND QUILT FAIR on the FISKARS CRAFT STUDIO Stand.

Isn't this quilt just devine.......this is just one of Beth's wonderful quilts....so why not pop on in to Morayfield Spotlight  on Saturday and meet Beth....if you can't make it in Sunday then you can come to the Brisbane Craft and Quilt Fair to see her and her wonderful projects!
