OMG......FUSE ......IT'S FABULOUS!!!

I was so lucky to be invited to Fiskars Head Office last week for a sneak peek and play with the latest FISKARS CRAFT TOOL......the FUSE Creativity System........................OMG.....I was sworn to secrecy.....and I was bursting to spread the good news to you all........so here it is!

Pip and I had fun playing around trying ideas.......

I love the fact that you can place a 12" x 12" piece of cardstock,paper,balsa,material,felt,soft leather,etc...through it......back soon with more info.....FISKATEERS...you can see more info over at the FISKATEERS.....TAMI created this butterfly below....and Cheryl, Rebecca and Stephenie have been sharing more fun projects using the FUSE....so keep checking in over there....

 

The FUSE is going to make crafting such fun .......and it really encourages creativity across different mediums...and I love that!

I must admit I am really enjoying being able to scrap my grand children at the moment....here's another LAYOUT for GEMMA'S ALBUM......

Thanks to Fynmark for the yummy products from RUBY ROCKIT RANGE.....NOSTALGIA!!! I sure had fun using it with my Layouts of GEMMA!!!!

I've also managed to create some fun cards whilst away in EAST GIPPSLAND.....so now I'm a little bit ahead of myself with FAMILY BIRTHDAY CARDS......sh,sh...................................

Whilst in SPOTLIGHT BAIRNSDALE I spied this gorgeous OWL STAMP and thought I'd like to play around with it.....so here's what I came up with.....once again thanks to FISKARS for the TOOLS and FYNMARK for the cards and papers.......these two companies are so generous to me.....love you guys! I also used Inks from STAMPIN UP....thank you for sending these to me.

It's " GROOVY " ~ I finally scrapped

Thought I'd share this latest LAYOUT that I have just completed of my grand daughter GEMMA!

It's been awhile since I have had the time to sit and craft a few LAYOUTS....but this past week I have been crafting whilst in Paynesville and have managed to completed 4 LAYOUTS so far and 7 Cards.......LOL!

It feels so good to be creating some fun LAYOUTS of our grandkids......GEMMA and SAMUEL.

Thanks to Bella/Fynmark and Ruby Rock It I have had some yummy products to play with from the Ruby Rock It Nostalgia Range and Paper Boy Paperz from Bella.....combined with my trusty Fiskars Tools....................................

I sure had fun creating this fun border using the NEW Fiskars Groovy Rainbow Interchangeable Border Punch.

First thing I do when I get

a NEW Fiskars Border Punch is add it's design to my Punch Design Ring......

So I've had fun creating a FEW new designs to my Interchangeable BorderPunch Ring

This is a great way of remembering which punch designs I have.....I have also done this for my older Fiskars Border Punches and Embossing Border Punches!

It's also handy to have this with me when I'm OUT and ABOUT to show others the fun designs that are NOW available through your Local Craft Stores!

I'm in EAST GIPPSLAND this week and I've spotted some of these NEW Interchangeable Border Punches on the shelves.....in SPOTLIGHT BAIRNSDALE!

Retailers can order the entire range of the  Fiskars Interchangeable Border Punches from Wholesaler SSS ....

                                     

.....AND yes......I have been playing around with these fun punches...here's a Birthday Card I created for my son's partner.......I just love creating whilst in Paynesville...............hoping to craft more later today and all this week.

For this card I used the "Daisy Chain Starter Set " and " Groovy Rainbow " Interchangeable Border Punches and some product from the Bella Nostalgia Range.......

Box it UP ~ by Dianne

Why not have a go at creating a fun Gift Box for your next present giving occasion like Dianne Whiteside has done........here's what Dianne had to say.....

Hi Lyn,

 

I have attached a small box (9.5cm square) decorated with two of the new border punches. 

The flower on top is made with 6 scallop hearts punched out, then folded in half and then each side in half again. I stuck them on with craft glue due to only a small part touching the glue and onto a scalloped circle, then onto the square.  It is finished with a pearl heart.

Groovy LAYOUT from Pauline

It's always nice to see how our Fiskars Craft Team use the Fiskars Tools.

Pauline Yousif (VIC) was sent some of the NEW Fiskars Interchangeable Border Punches to play with recently...and look what an amazing project she has come up with.....

Pauline was also sent some of the Nostalgia Range from Bella/Fynmark....don't you just love the way she has incorporated the NEW Groovy Rainbow Punch with this gorgeous range of papers.....and embellishments....

Here's what Pauline had to say.....

Just thought I would send through some photos of a 12x12 layout I created using the Bella, Nostalgia products we were sent recently. I have used the Groovy Rainbow Interchangeable Punch around the photo mat and also as a border across the bottom of the page.  I made the flowers and leaves from the paper also, the only thing I added are the Kaisercraft Pearl Flourishes.

next Fiskars Craft demo - Picture to Page Show

Hi everyone,

I'm really excited to be announcing that the next Fiskars Craft Demonstration shall be on Sunday May 27th at the Picture to Page Show in East Burwood,VIC.

I'll be demoing the NEW Fiskars Interchangeable Border Punches on the CREATIVE DREAMS STAND from 11-3pm...............................so come and see how fantastic these NEW Border Punches are....

CREATIVE DREAMS shall be selling many of the designs.....so if you haven't yet got any of these punches......and they are on your  WISH LIST....than maybe you could come and purchase some....and tick them off your list. I'll have some project samples to look at....some LAYOUTS,CARDS,ETC.....

Shirley Dougan does a great job of organising this CRAFT SHOW each year....and I'm delighted to be attending again....it's always a fun and friendly show in the Outer East.

So if you are looking for a great day out to learn new techniques,see all the latest craft products or to purchase supplies before WINTER...then why not come for a visit.

I have finally finished making EASTER BASKETS for my gorgeous grandkids.....SAMUEL and GEMMA...so thought I'd share with you!

Sam's basket has a few pairs of socks,3 little chocolate eggs and a little chick.....whilst Gemma's basket doesn't have the chocolate eggs.....seeing she is only 6 and a half months old.....LOL!

I hope they like them......

SEW HAPPY for you

Recently I was sent some yummy products from both Fiskars and Fynmark to play with......but haven't had much time to craft the past few months as I have been working 6 days a week at the BLUE LOTUS WATERGARDEN.....

..........now the season has ended I'm looking forward to having more time to craft........and playing with the goodies from RUBY ROCK IT and BELLA and using my NEW Fiskars Interchangeable Border Punches...along with my other fabulous Fiskars Tools to craft up some fun projects.............

Starter Set - Daisy Chain - used two ways

Are you enjoying all the Design Team project shares using the fabulous NEW Fiskars Interchangeable Border Punches?

Here's another couple of fun and creative cards created this time by Jacky Mc Leod from Sydney,NSW.

On the first card Jacky has used two punched strips that she created using the Starter Set Cartridge- Daisy Chain........on the second card she has used the punched out daisy shapes......

These Interchangeable Border Punches are now available for Retailers to purchase through SSS.

* Friendship Cards !

Hey fellow Fiskars peeps,

I too was lucky to get some happy mail with the new Interchangeable Border Punches and have not been able to sit and craft until yesterday when I was at a crop with some friends.

Got to playing with them a little bit and also used another of my favourite Fiskars Punches the Lever Punch Medium Butterfly.

The Interchangeable Border - Ivy League one is definately one of my favourites, so far.

Thanks Fiskars, and I hope you might get a little inspiration from my cards.

Interchangable Border Punches- By Evana

Everyone loves getting happy mail right? ABSOLUTELY!

So when I collected a lovely parcel from Fiskars from my local post shop....imagine the excitment as I opened the bag. The suspense, the adrenaline....ok ok enough....too exciting Evana! But seriously how cool to welcome these little beauties to my scrap room!

Daisy Chain (shown on the punch) and listed from the top of the picture show is "Ivy League", "Noteworthy", "Lacy Doubles", "X Marks The Spot" and on my desk is " Banners Away".

What a treat.

As I unwrap each one, I go through the same process, touch, feel, function, adaption, application. Call me 'A Type' or even 'Retentive' but if anything is going to last in this scraproom it has to impress me from the get go. Right off the bat I notice that each punch clips into the base unit so lets make sure it fits well and sits flush = BIG CHECK! Lets test a piece of card...the thick type so I know where the limit is = BIG CHECK! Ok the other thing I see is the little wings that fold out from the base of the punch unit itself. These wings sit nicely into the base and is super secure. Then (and this is one of those "LIGHTBULB" or as Oprah would say "A-HAA" moments.....THE PUNCH UNITS STACK ON TOP OF EACHOTHER! Yes they do! and this feature alone has me impressed. I mean I have a tub (a rather large tub) full of punches of every breed, type and style but this feature means I can stack them nicely to the side for ease of use. Fiskars.....You impress me at every step!

So enough of the product critic....Lets play!

I recently spent a wonderful week with my BFF in Melbourne. These pics were the result of alot of great food, wine and awesome girlie time. I used "Ivy League" punch on either side of my layout and used the "Lacy Doubles" punch for some detail on the right and base of the main photo (as seen in the close up picture).

I am officially in love with these punches. I hope there will be more additions to the range and maybe even the matching corners (throwing it out there) and even a case to carry them to crops( another throw lol). So go find some in your local Scrapbook stores. Order them in, or look out in your local Spotlight store for these little beauties!

Ivy League - a card by Azza

Interchangeable Border Punches - Review by Tamara

As you’ve seen a number of great projects from some other Fiskars enthusiasts, I was also fortunate to receive some “happy mail” from Fiskars a few weeks ago in the form of some punches!  I was sent a set of the new interchangeable punches as well as one of the other new release border punches.  The first thing I noticed was that despite receiving the equivalent of 7 different borders, the package was surprisingly small and light.  This was reinforced when I took them out of the packaging and compared them.  The one base and six border designs take up a small fraction of the space that six normal border punches do and I had to take a photo to show you!  (PHOTO 1)  On the left of the photo is the base and the 6 punch inserts and on the right is 6 standard border punches, for those with small craft spaces (or just those looking to save space for other things) these new interchangeable punches are perfect!

The next thing that I tested out is exactly what they look like, I don’t know about all of you, but I often have trouble ‘seeing’ how something would look like in ‘full scale’ from the pictures on the packaging and the tool so I punch out a 12” strip of the design to see fully how it looks.  There are some very useful designs available in the interchangeable punches.  (PHOTO 2) The starter set (that contains the base and one cartridge) contains the Daisy Chain design (at the top of the photo) with the other five designs available separately.   I found them very easy to interchange, they just pop in and out of the base, but sit very securely when they ‘click’ into it to use.  After I punched these all out, I think that my favourite design is the Lacy Doubles (the one at the bottom of the photo) but they are all useful and suitable for both scrapbooking and card making.  From top to bottom the patterns are:  Daisy Chain, Banners Away, X marks the spot, Noteworthy, Ivy League and Lacy Doubles. 

 

I would recommend these punches to those looking to save space in their craft areas and those who want versatile patterns for their papercrafting activities as these are all very useful.
