Hi everyone,

It's not long now until I'm OUT and ABOUT again demoing the fabulous FISKARS TOOLS......if you are coming to the Picture to Page Show on May 27th....make sure you drop by the CREATIVE DREAMS Stand and have a play with me......

I'll have all the NEW Fiskars Interchangeable Border Punches with me as well as many other Fiskars Tools,Ultra Shape Xpress,Everywhere Punches,mats etc.....and believe me once you see these NEW Border Punches....you'll want to have one...well maybe more than one.....LOL!

             I'll be on the Creative Dreams Stand from 11-3pm Sunday May 27th

Here's my latest LAYOUT that I completed last Saturday for National Scrapbooking Day which uses six of the NEW Designs....

 Maybe I'll see some of our readers on MAY 27th.......ooh that's this coming SUNDAY...woohoo.................gosh I love this Show....and can't wait to demo the fabulous Fiskars Tools .....MARION tells me that they have ordered in lots of Fiskars tools......yeh!!!!

If you can't make it to this Show....why not ask in your local craft store to see if they have these fabulous Fiskars Tools. Retailers can purchase these for their stores through SSS Wholesaler.

I'm in EAST GIPPSLAND at the moment enjoying sunny skies and glorious weather.....heading back to the YARRA VALLEY tomorrow night....after attending the BIGGEST MORNING TEA here in PAYNESVILLE at the YACHT CLUB......

Royal Melbourne Show - entries now OPEN !!!!

Well it's that time of the year again when the ART,CRAFT and COOKERY COMPETITIONS are OPEN to take ENTRIES......for this year's ROYAL MELBOURNE SHOW!

Have you ever entered one of the many Show ART/CRAFT or COOKERY competitions?

It's really very easy to enter...there are so many different SECTIONS once more this year in so many varied CRAFTS.....you can get the entry forms now online from

 

In the SCRAPBOOKING SECTIONS......there are FOUR SECTIONS in the OPEN COMPETITION and THREE SECTIONS in the JUNIOR COMP......so make sure you spread the word....ENTRIES close JULY 25th.

There are sections for QUILTING, SEWING,APPLIQUE,PAINTING.PHOTOGRAPHY,PAPERCRAFT,CARDMAKING

I have been involved with the Art/Craft and Cookery Competitions the past 5 years....and have loved every moment of it.....

There's nothing like the talent on display in the Art, Craft & Cookery Competition at the Royal Melbourne Show! Highlights from the Art, Craft & Cookery Pavilion at the 2011 Royal Melbourne Show included the Decorated Shoe Competition, the Apron Challenge that was new at this year’s Show, Sew & Show featuring the work of talented secondary and tertiary-level fashion design students and Makers Alley, a new precinct with products created by local artisans.

Congratulations to Judith Cairnduff from Croydon in Victoria who was awarded the Florence Monod Memorial Award for her large folk art plate with Cold Fish (Class 95, Exhibit 694). For a full list of Results click here

Flip La K and FISKARS at AQC

Looks like a fun time was had by all at the Australasian Quilting Convention that has just finished in Melbourne....thanks Pip for sending through these pics....

Here's a pic of Brenda Burgess of Stroud (NSW) at the AQC over the weekend.

Her business, Flip La K (Flip Applique technique) is a massive promoter of Fiskars because they are the best tools to use for her templates and patchworking................

           It's great to see everyone having fun and enjoying the Fiskars Tools.....

Shows and Conventions are a great place to go if you are looking to be INSPIRED/ LEARN NEW CRAFTS or TECHNIQUES and to purchase NEW SUPPLIES......

next Fiskars Craft demo - Picture to Page Show

Hi everyone,

I'm really excited to be announcing that the next Fiskars Craft Demonstration shall be on Sunday May 27th at the Picture to Page Show in East Burwood,VIC.

I'll be demoing the NEW Fiskars Interchangeable Border Punches on the CREATIVE DREAMS STAND from 11-3pm...............................so come and see how fantastic these NEW Border Punches are....

CREATIVE DREAMS shall be selling many of the designs.....so if you haven't yet got any of these punches......and they are on your  WISH LIST....than maybe you could come and purchase some....and tick them off your list. I'll have some project samples to look at....some LAYOUTS,CARDS,ETC.....

Shirley Dougan does a great job of organising this CRAFT SHOW each year....and I'm delighted to be attending again....it's always a fun and friendly show in the Outer East.

So if you are looking for a great day out to learn new techniques,see all the latest craft products or to purchase supplies before WINTER...then why not come for a visit.

There is a tram stop right out the front on the Burwood Highway and plenty of FREE car parking if coming by car.

Sorting through some pics and found these ones.....taken at March Paperific 2012......I love my job as the DOOR GUARD.....as you can see there were some early shoppers who loved receiving their FREE Paperific Bag.....the first 200 people through the DOORS each day received one of these

This pic was taken on the Saturday when I donned my BUNNY EARS.....LOL!

Once the clock struck 9:30am......it was time to release the mad crowd......and feed them to the Retailers......LOL!

I love working with the PAPERIFIC TEAM.....a fabulous STAFF to work alongside of!!

             We do it all again come late AUGUST......woohoo..................

PAPERIFIC is TERRIFIC !!!

If you are thinking of going into PAPERIFIC tomorrow.....here are a few sneak peek pics sent through by Toni.......great catching up with you and Anna yesterday! Thanks for the pics....

I actually did the Make 'n'take on the Heaven Scent Stand this afternoon.......a fun Card.....I had been watching participants having fun on the Stand the past 2 days as I was working on the Door.....so when I knocked off work.....I also joined in with all the fun!

There are 12 Stands offering FREE Make 'n'takes.....this is a great way to learn NEW techniques and try NEW products.......

Toni's sister and fellow Fiskateer Anna had a  lovely day shopping and learning new ideas for her Cardmaking....the sisters told me about some great specials they found around the different Stands....so today I checked them out and came home with some MUST HAVE products...as you do.....LOL!

PAPERIFIC is on again tomorrow from 9:30am - 4pm......finishes an hour earlier SUNDAY.....so make sure you allow plenty of time.....TONTINE also have a SALE in the building next door.....so check that out also...some cheap pillows and doonas,etc.....

I'm in the middle of preparing some food tonight in readiness for a family birthday lunch tomorrow....I have the 4 boys coming home for the day......love having them altogether........and of course the gorgeous grandkids will also be up here.....

PAPERIFIC EXPO - It starts today...woohoo..................

WOWIE....once this blog post goes live today I'll be in Melbourne at PAPERIFIC!

I'm so darn excited to be working there again with the wonderful PAPERIFIC TEAM....we have such a fun time! Weare all crafters who love sharing our passion with others.....

Starts today in MELBOURNE

It starts this Thurday Oct 27th - 30th

Just a reminder that the Craft and Sewing Show starts this Thursday at the Caulfield Racecourse,Melbourne......a great chance to get some Christmas Craft ideas and supplies....

I'm making the trip in myself for a fun day out and hoping to pick up some supplies for my Christmas Cards................yes...I like to create them early November so that they are ready to be sent out on DECEMBER 1st each year......LOL!

I'm also wanting to be craft inspired...maybe try a new craft....do some workshops/make'n'takes!!

Anyone else think they might make it to this Show?
