This layout sketch this week is based on a Zip.... why?
I don't know.... just how it developed from my brain....
As you read this post my family and I are out of our home as it its being fixed from earthquake damage.
So no example for now.... Hopefully I get a chance next time round.
This layout is good for your Fiskars trimmer and using up all those little strips of paper left over from other projects..... Have fun. Pick out a plain colour background and use contrasting patterened papers.

Hi all here is an A4 sketch layout that can be adapted easily to 12x12 or even a greeting card....
Now when I designed this layout I was thinking about possible "Hunting Games" type look going towards the outrageous "Capitol Couture" look. Bling and big flowers....
The four strips represent the fingers and nail art seen in photos of a main character "Effie Trinket"
The Strips I used Fiskars interchangeable boarder punch cartridge - up in the clouds. I cut the strips at one inch in width then punched both sides.
The butterflies are Fiskars Delicate Butterfly leaver punch.
Rounded corners of the photos punched with Fiskars Squeeze punch - around the corner
Surecut Trimmer used to trim photos/page/strips to size.
Brown flower = silk flower by Bella!
lace flower made by me with the help of Fiskars Microtip scissors
Chipboard daisies by Fuby Rock-it- Nostalgia with Flowersoft added in the middle of them.

Hello back again with another easter card idea....
Here is my example:
I used the Banners Away cartridge with the interchangable boarder punch and the eggs/background are embossed with the yellow Blossoms Texture plate.
When I use the embossing plates I hold shapes down with sticky tape. Saves them from moving around.

Hi all Easter is quickly aproaching here is an idea for an Easter card....
Here is my Example:
I used the Texture plate Filigree on the eggs.... they look like real chocolate!!!! Yummy!
and the boarder punch used is Ivy League cartridge for the Interchangable boarder punch set.
With colours you can go Brights or Muted. Natural colours, Contrasting colours or Moncromatic (different shades of one colour).

My first Double A4 sized layout... I think it worked out really cool.

Fiskars interchangeable boarder punch cartridges.... Lacy Doubles and Ivy League
Fiskars MiroTip scissors
Fiskars SureCut trimmer
The Ivy Legue was punched then cut in a thin strip. Then a thin double sided tape put on the back and then formed into a swirl onto the layout.
The dark brown patterned paper was hand stamped by me - the tutorial for that is here.
I also made my clay flower embellishment out of Delight Clay and Amaizing mold putty with the help of a friends broach.
And the fluffy stuff is Flower Soft.

The small strip of colour represents the contrast or embellishment colour to make it pop!
I'm kind of hooked on colour guides at the moment.... It helps so much don't you think?

one of my fave tools with fiskars has to be the Ultra Shape Express cutter. So this layout design is centered around that. (i'm also on a ripping, crinkled - distress kick)

Well i have been a little slack this month with the fisk-a-teers challenges but finally i have got around to doing the sketch challenges. If you go the the Fisk-a-teers blog Here.
So here is the sketch for the card. Rebecca from fisk-a-teers thought monochromatic would look good or stamp the same image 3 times .
And here is my card.
I have used my New Fiskars surecut trimmer,and my Fiskars washed ashore border punch.

Here is my sample:
I used: Fiskars "give it a swirl" border punch.
I punched a skinny strip and a wide strip. The wide strip I used the 1/4" hand hole punch and weaved some organiza ribbion through the hole.
I also cut the Flag out using Fiskars Trimmer and Fiskars Micro tip scissors.
Faces are blanked out for privacy.
The strip of Pearls really made these lacey punch outs look very Royal.
I cut out the flag and the pieces then folded it at an angle to get a wave type of look.

Hi all here is todays layout....
The actual sketch design was inspired by the side of my shed.... see the door? lol
Here is my layout...
Here in Christchurch it is a growing tradition of very many families to go to Spreydon Baptist church and check out the Christmas Grotto every year near Christmas. I'm sure this year will not be an exception!
I used Fiskars Ultra Shape Express with the Square and the star templates.
Fiskars 1/4" hole hand punch.
Fiskars Apron lace boarder punch.
Fiskars Corner rounder squeeze punch.
Fiskars paper crimper.
The Christmas Grotto is Awesome with a capital A! Can't wait to see it this year!

here we are for another sketch.
I really cannot believe these weeks are going by so fast!
Because of entertaining my son and getting some other much needed to do projects out of the way I haven't had time to to a layout example but I did the sketch so that is good....
I can see boarder punch laces with the criss cross stripes and some lever punch punched out embellishments on this page. Experiment. You maybe surprized with yourself.
