Hi everyone, Ang here. Let's get our first challenge started!
Freehand cutting - something I used to cringe at. No matter how sharp my scalpel was, my finger would throb after just a couple of cuts. Then I received the new Ultra ShapeXpress and I have put that knife away!
You may be familiar with the old shape cutter, but the Ultra ShapeXpress is definately new and improved! Not only will it cut out your template shapes, it has a special freehand spacer that allows you to cut any shape you like. The swivel knife turns so freely, you don't need to twist your wrist, just lock it tight and cut around the shape like you are mixing a cake. You do need to use it with a FISKARS cutting mat though...not the green ones (they are too soft and your blade may snap).
My challenge for you this month is to create a layout or other paper project that features freehand cutting.
You could cut out design elements - like the flowers on my layout, or freehand your own designs!
You don't need to use the Ultra ShapeXpress to join in...because the prize for this fortnight is one...along with some beautiful papers from Dee's Cottage!!
To enter, complete your project and email (file size under 500mb) by the 14th of September.
Check out the September Challenge Album - entries will be uploaded to this album, as well as some freehand layouts from our ambassadors, so check back often!
One entry per person. Winner announced on the 15th of September.
We can't wait to see what you come up with!

Great challenge Ang and fabulous layout. Will definitely have a play with this one :). I've never used the shapeXpress for freehand cutting so will give it a go!
