Kids Classes

Well I'm looking forward to my trip over to Simply Scrapbooking,Eltham tomorrow and Wednesday to teach the Kids Scrapbooking Classes.

On Tuesday I have the 7-9 year olds and on Wednesday the 10-14 year olds.

These classes have become very popular and are now booked out weeks in advance of being advertised.

I'm also picking up some Kids Class in a Bag Packs for the winners of our Easter giveaways here on the blog...NICOLE AND JOY have kindly donated these packs for our winners....thanks girls!!

I really love this LSS.........it would have to be one of the most organised and well stocked shops in Victoria.

Stacey Kingman, Fiskateer #3649 from College Station, Texas, loves her Tool Taxi and uses it for almost every project because she includes rub-ons (lots of them!) on so many things she makes. The Tool Taxi has an embossing stylus that is also great for adhering rub-ons. The eraser makes cleaning up mistakes a breeze and the glue and tweezers are perfect for making and adhering little rub-on alpha squares.

Fisk-A-Teer A Day In March, Day 29

Today's project comes from Carlee Murphy, fiskateer #2225, Carlee says, I got my first rotary cutter for working with fabric, especially for quilting, but since using it on paper, it has not gone back and I now have one for paper and one for fabric. I swear by my rotary cutter, ruler and self heal mat! I like that I can get an exact measurement and an exact cut…and that I can go through multiple layers, too.

Using stamps to decorate chipboard.......

Hello, hope you are having a fantastic weekend, I thought i would share a little technique with you to show you a different way to use your stamps. 

As some of you know I am a lover of the Heidi Grace clear stamp sets and i have used the paisley flower out of the "Wild Daisy Rd" clear stamp set.  I love this stamp and have a lot more things planned with it!!

I took part in an online challenge and this is the title I did for my page.  I wanted it to be fun and bright.  I used a quote that appeared on the Fiskars blog earlier on in the week ( I have a little book and i write down the ones that take my fancy) - it was "FIND SOMETHING TO LAUGH ABOUT EVERY DAY"

First I covered chipboard letters in white bazzill and cut around with the new craft knife.....

Then i stamped this image all over the pieces randomly using black stazon ink......

this is what they look like.............

I then coloured them with Staedtler triplus fineliner pens and they turned out like this, full of life and colour.........

Lots of fun and lots of colour, pull out your stamps and have a go, you'll be more than pleased with the results.

Earth Hour

Is anyone taking part in Earth Hour tonight. We plan on doing our bit and lighting a few candles and playing a board game.

Earth Hour is an international event that asks households and businesses to turn off their lights and non-essential electrical appliances for one hour on the evening of 29th March at 8PM local time until 9PM to promote electricity conservation and thus lower carbon emissions.

It is promoted by World Wide Fund for Nature Australia (WWF), an environmental lobby group, and the Sydney Morning Herald. The first Earth Hour was held in Sydney, Australia between 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on 31st March 2007. The 2007 Earth Hour is estimated to have cut Sydney's mains electricity consumption by between 2.1% and 10.2% for that hour, with as many as 2.2 million people taking part.
