Feel like having a play with some stickers, watercolour paper, watercolour pencils and border punches, then maybe this is for you!!
I was making a card for a dear friend who has just had an op, to let her know i'm thinking of her and well i ended up making a few extras!!
The general method i used was to add some colour to the water colour paper by taking the colour directly off the lead in the watercolour pencil and using the water brush or a paint brush.
When this dried i added the stickers, cut around the image and then hand drew whimsical borders to match the stickers using a fine tip black marker. Add the images to another layer of watercolour paper on thick mounting tape for dimension and add borders and sentiments in your own hand. Where you see the rough edges this is done by using your craft knife and running it along the edge to rough it up.
On the first 2 cards i also added another mat that has the edges scalloped using the Threading Water Border Punch and pulled the edges upwards to give a bit more dimension and add a lacy feel to the card.
To make the ribbon embellishments on the sides of card 2, punch down each edge of your second layer with your Leave it to Weaver punch and thread an assortment of different ribbons through each slot and tie off on top to give a continuous line of ribbon and a nice full effect.
Finish off all the cards with a little Kaiser bling, I also added one of the new Cloud 9 clear embellishment words to the inside of my get well card "girlfriends"; and you are done.
I apologise for the dullness in these photos, not quite sure what happened!!
Thanks for stopping by, have a great day.
