Hi everyone,
Have you seen the gorgeous Christine Re paper insert in this month's Better Homes and Gardens Magazine?
Well here at Head Office in Victoria ....Phillipa Godinho....affectionately known as Pip......couldn't resist having a play with some this week to house her "homemade" Chocolate Orange Strips......combining the gorgeous paper with the wonderful FISKARS TOOLS at her disposal.
Pip does some wonderful papercrafting and she also loves to cook! She says that she doesn't do anything that great.....I would beg to differ on that one Pip.......What do you guys think?
After seeing these creative gift bags I asked Pip if we could share them on here with you all as I'm sure you'll agree they will make lovely Christmas Gifts!
Feel free to leave a comment to Pip in the comments section below!
I just love these "handmade gift bags".....think I might try some now....thanks for the Inspiration Pip!
Pip has kindly put together the following Instructions also:
(1) Choose a sheet of cardstock to coordinate with the Cristina Re paper
and cut it into three 4" x 12" strips.
(2) Using a stylus, score each piece twice: 5.5" from each end. When
folded, this will create a flat bottom for the package.
(3) Cut the CR paper 5.5" x 4". I used a Xyron Cheetah wide tape runner
to cover the paper with adhesive then bonded this onto the front panel
of cardstock.
(4) I used the Windows Shape Template to cut a rectangular window 0.5"
from the bottom of the front panel. I then positioned a sticker about
the chocolates onto the front panel above the window and stuck a couple
of Cloud 9 Snowflake Rain Dots onto it (although you may not find these
in stores now).
(5) I placed my cellophane bags of chocolates into the package and
stapled them into the package right at the top.
(6) Cut a piece of the polka dot underside of the Cristina Re paper 3" x
4" and use the Threading Water punch to give a pretty edge on one of the
4" edges. Using the Cheetah again, bond this onto another piece of
coordinating 3" x 4" cardstock (I used a combination of pink and green
card for the underneath of the top and bottom pieces). Score this at the
1.5" mark, fold it in half, run the Cheetah over the underside and place
it over the top of the cello bag and bottom package.
(7) I used a sample Scalloped Punch "My Funny Valentine" which will be
available early 2009 to cut a piece of the plain pink cardstock, and
placed this over two pieces of ribbon using a Fiskars Foam Square on the
top of the package, as shown.
These are GREAT Pip, good job ! I've seen some of your scrapping and you don't give yourself half the credit you deserve :)
*hug*
