Well, after a little while of no scrapping I finally found some inspiration today and whipped up this cute Christmas Wreath. I was inspired by this beautiful creation, so maybe you will be too ?
I hand drew a leaf shape to use as a template and then traced that onto my cardboard (I recycled an old box). Unlike the original project, my cardboard was simply plain brown so I needed to pretty it up a little. After cutting out all of my leaves with my Fiskars scissors, I divided the pile into three. I removed the top layer of cardboard to reveal the corrugated middle of one pile, and then I glued the remainder to the double-sided Cloud 9 paper (from the Christmas kit available now at KMart) putting half on one side of the paper, and half on the other. Once it was dry I simply cut around the cardboard leaves with my FingerTip Knife.
I sanded the edges of all of the green leaves and inked the edges of the others. Some glue and foam dots hold everything together, and the finished wreath is adorned with buttons. A long length of ribbon tied into a bow allows the wreath to be hung.
