I love making crackers for Christmas as you can put in them your own silly jokes (printed from the internet), put a very special little gift and a wrapped lolly.
Heres one way to make them for your guests....
step 1: download the provided PDF
Download rectanglecrackertemplate.pdf
step 2:
Trim your paper the sized of your printer. (A4) - here I'm using Fiskars 12" trimmer
Step 3:
Print the template on the BACK of your desired cardstock (I'm using Heidi Grace - Jolly and Bright - product kit)
Trim to the box template size. Cuting along the solid lines on the outside.
Score along the dotted lines.
With the handy Fiskars Finger tip craft knife on a Fiskars cutting mat - cut out the diamonds and the little notches at both ends of the cracker.
With the Fiskars Ultra Shape express and your desired template - cut out a shape where indicated. (here I used Christmas-2 shape template).
cover the ugly word panel with some of the off cut patterned paper.
cover the window hole with a piece of clear packaging or cellophane.
fold the long ways score lines..... (hmmm hows that for english? lol)
fold - across - the other way. Making a mountain as above.
Decorate the outside of the window with Kindy Glitz and put a sticker on the front.
Then use your decorative scissors to cut along the ends of the cracker.
I used my Fiskars - Cristina Re - Boudoir scissors
put inside a party hat and some goodies.... (of course these are not the ones I'm going to use. ;) )
the tie with ribbon or cirling ribbon around the ends.
Congrats you are done!
I hope you enjoy making your Christmas Crackers this year.... and I really hope you have a cracker Christmas mate!!!
;)
