Create any project you wish but you must use at least two FISKARS TOOLS and some Journaling.

Here's what just came through from Meagans mum Michelle!

 I have attached a layout my daughter Meagan 9yrs. has just completed. When I told her about the challenge she went straight to my scrapbooking papers and her supplies and got to work.

 Thanks for the opportunity for her to display her work.

 She loves going to weekly scrapbooking classes at our LSS.

Kids Challenges close at mid-night tonight

Hi everyone,

Just a reminder that the Kids Challenges for January close in about 6 hours....mid-night Aussie time by the Blog clock.

Naoh aged 10 has completed Challenge 4

Here are a couple of pics of my son's submission.  He chose the challenge to use 2 Fiskar's tools....Ch.4

 

His Name is Noah and he's 10 years old.  He loves to craft. 

His big brother (17) had recently been working on a couple of altered art canvas projects with his photography, so Noah wanted to give it a try. 

He decided to draw a picture of his favorite Hockey player.

 He drew it on regular paper first with pencil..then turned it onto the backside and used Fiskars tool taxi-rubbing stylus and rubbed it on the back of his drawing to transfer the image to his canvas.

 Then he painted it with acrylic paints.  Then he took a black Fiskars Gel Pen and added the details of his outline with it.

 

Thanks so much for allowing the children to submit their projects..this was so fun for my son.

Tool Tip: stencils and templates

Hi everyone Debbie here again....
I've been doing more experimenting.

Here I have a packet of makeup sponges. Some different colours of ink, old chipboard and plastic embellishment sheets, squeeze punches, scrap of cardstock and a shape template.

Grab your plastic "template" (used plastic shape negatives) and a spare piece of paper.
Dab the makeup sponge onto the desired colour ink pad

Dab/twist the inked sponge over the shape you desire.

Done!

Try it with other "templates" like the negative images of a chipboard sheet....

You can also mix colours and use the Fiskars Shape templates upside down (Cannot read the word Fiskars)

here I dabbed blue around the outside

then chose a smaller circle and dabbed with a purple.

A nice two toned circle.

Or try this....

Used your squeeze punch with a piece of old cardstock
Dab the inked sponge over the star

And get a perfect star! Cool huh?

Well off I go again and see what else I can come up with. Get more out of your tools by experimenting. Till then have fun!

mix it up abit...

Hi Everyone, Jacky here. I hope you are all surviving the heat. Thank heavens its not as hot here in Sydney, as it is in Melbourne and South Australia, I'm thinking of you guys and I hope the heat wave breaks soon.

I wanted to share a mini album I did, using the scallops edges of both circle and the oval templates of the ultra shape express. Using these two tools made it really easy to get diffrent looks - real quick.

She's very pleased with herself. It's been over a year since she has scrapped and this competition has motivated her. She's all enthusiastic again, so thanks!

She especially loves the squeeze punches because they're easy to use but also the templates to trace shapes from.

What a lovely layout Anna and the journaling is just wonderful!

Throwing the punches - ahem! Double punching!

Start Double punching boarders! And you could make some really groovy new boarders!

I have been experimenting again. Here's how to get more bang for your buck by double punching with the boarder punches from Fiskars.

Step 1
Get out your leave it to weaver punch and the diamonds boarder punch.

Step 2
line up the punch as shown....

 

Step 3
Line up the second punch as shown....

   

Step 4...
get this!
   

A nice lattice type edge for your cardstock!

And oohhhh try this one!!!

Done with the Leave it to weaver and Threading water boarder punches.

Cool hugh?

Well time to start experimenting for yourself...
whip out those punches and start double punching.
