I'm very excited to be going away for Easter this year. The kids are looking forward to spending time with Grandparents and cousins and I'm looking forward to having some relaxing days on the farm.
Getting there may not be so relaxing as I'm travelling with the 3 kids by myself. To help the 2hr flight go a little faster I've packed up plenty of snacks and activities for the children.
One of the activities I've got ready is this game of Eggs and Crosses. (An Easter version of noughts and crosses or tic tac toe.)
I've made it in a small tin and used magnets so that it's compact and suitable for in flight entertainment.
The little game pieces have been punched with my scallop square squeeze punch, I then added the stamped egg and cross images and finished with a layer of dimensional magic.
Unfortunately I don't own a set of Easter stamps ... so I had to search carefully for the images I was after. I found these images in my set of Fiskars 'Tis the Season clear stamps. The egg shape is actually part of a Christmas bauble decoration.
I used a brush tip marker to colour only the part of the stamp I wanted. Heidi Grace Reagan's Closet papers for this project were perfect for this quick project.
Hopefully this little game will keep my older two entertained for at least some of the flight!
Fantastic & innovative idea Beverley! Love it.
