Hello, I hope this post finds you all having a lovely relaxing weekend.
I have just finished mowing the lawn followed by a plunge in the pool to cool down and inside to avoid the heat ;0)
Well my absence here of late is due to an extremely busy start of the year, not at all what I had planned, in fact my motto for this year was to "simplify my life", you know, the say "no" to things without feeling guilty type thing......not an easy thing to do. So we hit the ground running this year and i hadn't even had time to catch up with my friends for coffee or a chat, you know the girly talk over numerous cups of coffee and cake. So when my head was about to explode last week and everything was really getting on top of me, I simply turned my back on the house and everything in it that was beckoning for my attention, rang my dear friend TH and headed to town. We talked, and we had coffee, and we talked some more. I then came home and rang another dear friend LD down in Vic, and though we couldn't have coffee and cake, (mind you if we were closer in a geographical sense, I'm sure we would have coffee and cake ;0) ..... we too talked, and talked and talked ;0)
It was just what I needed to clear my head and get back on track again.
And gave me the inspiration to play with paper and scrap a layout with no photos.
With the wonderful tools that we crafters own, making our own individual embellishments really is very simple and quite theraputic ;0)
So if you are curious on how I made the bits and pieces on this layout, pop by the blog tomorrow and I will show you how. I thought I might just adapt this layout down to a card, so i will photograph some steps and you can have a go to if you like :0)
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
thanks for stopping by.
A :0)

GORGEOUS layout Annette, especially with your little story to set the picture !!!
Really looking forward to your step-by-step instructions as I haven't done any machine stitching projects or anything that is so darn cute as this :)

Thanks girls :0) I agree Christine, kraft is a favourite of mine at the minute. Tracy I hope you get time to have a play, I remember you saying before, you hadn't sewn on a layout or a card, it really is fun and a nice change to adhere things fro the usual way. Lyn I have no doubt, coffee, cake and chat would definately be on the agenda if we were a bit closer, LOL!! A :0)
