WOW.. what a lovely way to spend a Friday evening.....from the moment I arrived in the store at Spotlight Fountain Gate I knew we were going to be in for some serious fun!!
Bronwyn had decorated all the tables with lovely signage and gorgeous balloons.
I arrived early to set up and it wasn't long before some brides came by and asked for some help with chooosing trimmers, blades and punches.......
I hadn't even set up my tools.....LOL!.... but did have out the project samples which the brides to be loved and wanted to know how to make them. It wasn't long before I met Val a lovely Wedding Planner who had arranged for a couple of brides to meet her in the store to have a play with the Fiskars Tools to design their own Wedding Stationary. Not sure who was having more fun.....Val or the brides......LOL!
Katie(bride) had a great time desiging her own Wedding Stationary from scratch..... she told me she is getting married in October and wants to start creating the Wedding Stationary.....
Between the three of us we were able to throw around some ideas.....but tried to get Katie to have the final say.....which she did......and the brides had so much fun choosing punches, matching papers and working out quantities of supplies.....Katie had set herself a budget of $300 for Wedding Stationary with 112 Wedding Guests.......by creating her own Wedding Stationary she is going to save herself over $150. She went away tonight with a completed Personalised Invitation,Matching Place Card,Wishing Well Card and RSVP Card and some Fiskars Punches........she was one happy Bride to Be!
Bronwyn walked around all night offering us food and drinks which was appreciated and all the staff were delightful! SHoppers also were able to get 20% off discounts on some products on the night ....so that was another great saving.....
Thank you to everyone who came and played tonight it was lovely meeting you all....and it really was a fun night!! It's amazing how easy DIY Wedding Stationary can be when you have great TOOLS to work with!
xoxo

GREAT to hear you had a FUN night Lyn!!!
So glad that the brides-to-be appreciated your lovely samples too :o)
It must be a fun store over at Fountain Gate as it sounds (& looks) like they went to a lot of effort to make it a special night for everyone.

Wonderful that Katie is saving some money and making her own invitations ! I also had an October bride come and ask me for advice for her placecards.
LOVE your table decorations and setup (cringe at the typo on that beautiful sign...but that's me being picky LOL).
Looks like you had an awesome time as always Lyn :)

Looks great Lyn, it is nice to see brides doing their own invitations, it isn't hard if you have the right tools and the opportunity to be shown how to use them, and such a saving. Very gratifying as well. I recently made 60 wedding formal wedding invites for a bride and groom and they were absolutely thrilled, the fact that our 2 youngest were in the bridal party and my hubby was the MC for the night, made it all the more special, and I got to have my little bit of input as well. tfs.
