A quick share of a card i have published in the latest edition of Scrapbook Creations Vol 9 No 1.
I had hoped to get this into a layout but not to be before easter, definately after.
Egg blowing and dyeing has been in full swing in our house this week and the rocky road easter eggs are made, just waiting to be rolled in hundreds and thousands....yum!!
We must remember to leave the eggs out of the fridge next year, to make them easier to blow empty and I have no doubt that Maddison will refrain from sucking in raw egg by accident instead of blowing it out next time ;0) Thats what the yukky face is all about, LOL!
We are off to the beach tomorrow.
Happy Easter :0)
Annette
great card.... and those died easter eggs are awesome... How did you get them so vivid in colour?
I can't get hold of white eggs this easter so have to use light brown ones. Prob have to do the boiled egg thing though as my littlies will not be able to handle the blown egg shells without them breaking.

Hey Debbie nice to hear from you:0) Funnily enough we had the same problem only brown eggs so the kids were a little frustrated that they were dull, i thought they were okay but they obviously had some colour in their mind and couldn't quite achieve it. Anyway we used about 1/2 a cup of water, 1 tablespoon vinegar and 30 drops of food colouring. To get the little dots, Maddison stuck rhinestones all over the egg so the dye wouldn't take to those bits, good idea on her part,(instead of hot wax with a candle) i wasn't so keen on all my rhinestones being used LOL!! i just did a quick google search and came across this http://how2heroes.com/videos/techniques/dyeing-marbling-easter-eggs. haven't watched the video but the photo looks awesome, wish i had found it last week (I am supposed to be packing to go away right now!!) Anyway let me know if you have a go at it (I reckon you'll be tempted :0) Happy Easter to you and your family Debbie. A:0)

Very effective use of B&W photos in contrast with the bright colours of the eggs - LOVE IT :o)
