I'm sorry that I've been a bit slow getting these photos uploaded for you ladies. The photos have dwindled in number slightly over the past few days and they seem to be arriving later in the night, often after I've gone to bed. I hope you are all still enthusiastic about finishing off the month with me... we're 2/3 way through August already!
I think I accidentally missed one of Annette's photos earlier in the week so I'll start off with Annette's housework from Day 16...
'Day 16 - Like everyone else i have my fair share of housework, but the one thing that I NEVER seem to have a neverending supply of is washing!! The positive side - it gets you into the great outdoors a LOT !!'
Next is Maureen's photo for Day 17 - her Pets...
'DAY 17 - ANIMAL : Well although I do still technically own a dog, even though he lives at someone elses house, the only other pets we have are Connors goldfish. So they are my feature for today. Love how I managed to get this one with his mouth wide open as if to say "why are you pointing that thing at me?" LOL!!!! The second photo is the piggie of the family - always first up to eat.'
Tamara's Day 17 photo is next up...
'Well I had visions of showing you all some of the wildlife that inhabits the area around where I work as we back onto bushland and there is a lot of wildlife that call it home. Enter me, camera in hand walking around in my lunchbreak trying to find said wildlife, do you think I could find ANYTHING??? Nope…ok, I’ll try after work…I can hear birds, where are they??? Ok…next day I forget my camera, sure enough, I spot a couple of kookaburras and a bush turkey, so I brought my camera in again today and…..of course I can’t find anything to photograph! The Kookaburras have made me a laughing stock, the bush turkey has headed for the hills, the wallabies have hopped out of sight, the snakes must be hiding under a rock somewhere and there’s no fish in the creek! Ok, well I’ll try and get a photo of one of the dogs next door…umm…nope, neither of them wanted to come and say hello! Next stop, the geckos at home (since we don’t have any pets), nope, evidence that they are around, but no sign of them! So instead….….here’s a photo of a horse! This isn’t one that I’ve taken this week, but I did take it and I think he’s cute. This is Patch, my sister in law’s miniature horse. He wasn’t quite what I thought I’d be able to show you, but he is an animal (and a rather mischievous one at that!).'
Tracy's Day 18 photos...
'I have two modes of transport – going by Shanks' Pony or by being chauffeured by my husband in our trusty Holden... he would be horrified to see that I have taken a photo of the car when it is so dirty!'
Janine's transport...
Maureen's transport photo...
'Well seen as I didn't go anywhere today I thought I would use my sons mode of transport for todays prompt. Connor regularly rides his bike to school and I love that he is getting a little bit of extra exercise every day.'
Next up is my little car, my Subaru Impreza. I spend a LOT of time taxiing children around in this. In fact this photo was snapped while waiting for my daughter to jump in for a ride to dancing late yesterday afternoon.
Kirsty chose to take an alternative photo for Day 18 and that is perfectly OK in this challenge too...
Happy Birthday to me!: Day 18 of POTD and MY BIRTHDAY!!! Todays theme- Transport. Now I did make the people around me aware of todays theme in the hope that i would receive a big pressie with four wheels!! But alas it was an epic fail on the car front. So I decided to go against the theme today (oh what a rebel huh!) and take a shot of my huge haul! To say I have had it rough the last 18 months is a massive under statement, but I am so very lucky to have the wonderful family and friends around me that I do. People who make me feel so very special and to those people I say thank you from the bottom of my heart you make my heart happy again ♥
We all wish you a happy birthday for yesterday and hope you had a great day Kirsty.
Just as I'm typing up this post another transport photo has arrived in my inbox... Thanks Tamara!
'This is a Sunbus (yes, even our public transport has a tropical name!). I take a lot of buses around the city, so I can often be seen getting on & off a bright blue bus! I like being able to sit back and ‘chill’ whilst going from point A to point B and I can get most places that I want to without much problem. It’s nice to have someone else to worry about getting through the traffic and I just get off when I’m close to home, it’s often a good way to end the day.'
So that brings us to today's photos. The prompt for day 19 was to show us your computer...
Tracy sent hers through...
'Ahhh the wonders of wireless technology - it allows our laptop to move from room to room, even spending some time with me in the recliner for a bit of blogging. Today it came outside for a little photo shoot under the clothesline. It wasn’t that long ago, but it is hard to remember what it was like when we had the desktop computer and the great big chunky monitor!!!'
Janine's computer...
and finally for now... my trusty Mac laptop ♥ which is never far from my arm's reach...
Well this has turned into a huge post so well done if you've made it this far. Don't forget to check back tomorrow (or later tonight) for your day 20 post... Oh yes and I NEED to draw a winner for the next giveaway so stay tuned... I haven't forgotten :)
Kim xx
Happy Birthday Kirsty!!!
As for photo-a-day, the little stories are
just as much fun as the photos are :)
