The photos are arriving in my inbox thick and fast today so I thought I'd get in here and post the ones from the early birds...
First however we have one more photo from yesterday's Garden prompt...
'My photo is of the same thing as Kirstys, LOL. The first spring flower in my garden'.
What a beautiful flower! Thanks Lianne.
Now to day 4 and this photo was the first to arrive today...
Destination of Choice: Day 4 of the challenge and theme of today- Somewhere You Go Everyday (or almost everyday) Well I thought and thought, hmmm maybe uni, or my children's school, or Facebook, or Etsy, or Ebay (at the moment everyday searching for the Blythe doll Emmy is wanting for her birthday), Ikea (I seem to be there so often lately). The kitchen, the laundry, even the toilet (didnt think that was appropriate however, lucky huh) Then I thought where is the place I love to go everyday, the place that brings me peace (as hard as I find to ever be at peace now) and as I thought this I looked up from my laptop and through my bedroom door, instantly I felt more calm and the light bulb went off THAT'S IT! You see my bedroom was the first place I redecorated after my life fell apart, I couldn't bare to enter it before that. My heart would just break and tears would not stop. But, now its my room, my sanctuary, my safe place, the place I sleep again and can retreat to when life and reality gets a little too much.
Kirsty, that is such a beautiful space, thanks for sharing it with us.
Annette sent through this stunning photo...
14 years we have been travelling this road........
The road to school that is!! The first thing that came to mind is the trip to and from school everyday. This is the 14th year and we have only 2 years remaining until we are finished with Primary School. Its a sight I never get sick of, looking up the Mulgrave River Valley as we go over the big bridge. It used to be a very popular swimming spot but when the new bridge was built last year, workmen spotted a crocodile in the water so since then it has been signposted as "No Swimming, crocodiles Inhabit the area"!! Which is a shame. If you look closely you can see the rocks on the bottom of the river bed the water is lovely and clear.
Isn't that just amazing? Thanks Annette.
Finally for now I have taken my photo for today too however it certainly wont win any creative photography awards! This is without a doubt the place that I drive to the most times in any given week. At a minimum I go there EVERY weekday during school terms, usually twice a day (to drop off and pick up kids). On weeks like this week it is even more hectic as the girls both have had dance exams .... it never ends!
This is a really dodgy photo, taken on my phone this afternoon. (If I remember to take the camera back with me later today I'll get a better shot with the roller door up.)
If you've taken photos of where you go please send them through to me [email protected] at max 200kb with a title and a description. I'll be back to post the rest tonight.
Kim xx
