Welcome to the Fiskateers Spring Blog Hop!!!
You should have come from Judy #5798.
If you are hopping into the middle of our blog hop and you are a Fiskateer, you can start here www.fiskateers.com.
If you are thinking a "Fiskawhat?", you should know that Fiskateers is an online community of craftiness (paper crafts, sewing, gardening etc) all based around our love and appreciation of Fiskars (think orange-handled scissors to start).
There is a blog, gallery and message board led by four lovely Lead Fiskateers who, along with other Fiskateers are fabulous at getting creativity flowing via chats, challenges, on-line crops and interviews with other crafty celebrities.
If you would like to join in the inspiration of Fiskateers, or would like to learn more, all you need to do is visit http://www.fiskateers.com/join ... then come join in the fun at the beginning with Kellystar (Kelly) #6446 for a complete list of blog hop stops.
We'll be hopping all weekend, March 24th and 25th to welcome Spring!!! The blog hop officially ends on Sunday March 25th at 11pm CST. If you're like me and down in the Southern Hemisphere, we have been enjoying Autumn for a few weeks now and are in a different time zone, with the crop ending at 3pm Monday March 26th Australian Eastern time.
Some Fiskateers are offering sur-prizes ... check their directions carefully to participate.
My project to share today is a punchy birthday card I made for my nephew. After he told me that his favourite colour was aqua and blue and green, I had a quick search of my stash and found the perfect punch combo - Something's Fishy squeeze punch, Bubbles and Boundary Waters border punches.
Here is his sparkly seven card.
The first thing that I think of when I hear "Spring" is flowers. For your chance to win this "charming" prize, tell me about your favourite flower and these crafty charms could be decorating your scissor bag or become part of your next project. Entries close 11pm Sunday March 25th CST (don't forget the time-zone differences if you are in the Southern Hemisphere) and the winner will be drawn using random.org.
Thanks for hopping by ... the next stop on your hop along the Fiskateers Spring Hop is Tara #4402.
Hope you have a hoppy weekend :)
PS - I have to send a big THANK YOU to Lyn (our Aussie Lead and Fiskateer #1110) for letting me use our Aussie Blog to join the hop - thanks Lyn :)
Nice idea for your party and the Bunny Softies are soooo cute!

I love the layers of your card and the glittery fish and seven are great touches! The charms are awesome too and I would love to add them to a layout or cards, and yes, one for my scissors holder. Spring flowers are amazing and I love all the shapes and colors. I really love the simplicity of wildflowers and the orange and yellow ones in bloom right now are favorites.

Love the border punches!

I absolutely LOVE that card! I love the colors and the layering of the same punch to make the water- it's beautiful!
My favorite flower... so hard to pick. I love tulips and callas for their look, roses and freesia for their smell, carnations for their lasting power and the fact that they're cheap. I love daffodils for being the harbingers of spring. I love sweetpeas because they were the flowers I used for May Day gifts when I was a kid. And about a zillion more.

Love your sparkly seven card! So fun and creative!
Spring does remind me of blooms and the flowers. But I love the first day you can open the windows and hear the birds singing/chirping away!

What a cute card, Tracy! I think I have most of those punches and have a little boy birthday coming up, too! Mind if I lift it?
I don't think I've met a flower that didn't pull at least a little love from my heart. If I had to pick, it would be hydrangeas. Probably because mine aren't blooming yet, LOL!

Cute card! My favorite flowers are Lilies of the Valley, because my Grandma used to have them growing on the side of her house. They smelled so good!
