Finally the last page of my Aussie Fiskateer Circle Journal.......just sharing how I like to use Templates........

I hope I have inspired some of my fellow Aussie Fiskateers to participate in this Circle Journal Journey with me.......REMEMBER...we have a thread going over on the Fiskateer Messageboard...under the International link.......feel free to leave any questions you may have over there....or leave any comments under this post..................I'll be checking in a few times whilst on holidays......and may be able to answer any questions then....otherwise I'll certainly answer when I return from overseas.....July 8th.

I'm really hoping that we shall get about 8 Aussie Fiskateers to join in with this Circle Journal.....they really are fun to participate in.

A note card set

Good evening everyone, 

This is a very late post due to a very naughty little monster named Poppy! she is all tantrums at the moment so i can only get stuff done when she is in bed.

Ok! Now she is asleep i can share with you my creation.

 

I decided to make a box set for note cards,tags etc.

I used a bunch of Fynmark nostalgia papers and made a box for my note cards to go in.

To cut out the container to hold all the note cards i used my trusty Fiskars trimmer, then to cut out the detail on the coloured images i used my fiskars fingertip knife.

I decorated with a Fiskars border punch called lacy doubles, and then got colouring with my copics to make the 6 cards to go with the set. 

I also made a little note book with a cute typewriter stamp coloured with copics also.

 

 

 

 

 

All 6 cards are the same in the set.

 

As you can see in the note set, there is a note book, a section for your stamps, a pen,tags, mini cards and the 6 note cards also.

 

I hope you have enjoyed this little collection,

 Maybe tomorrow Poppy will be in a better mood and i can make some more crafty items to share!

Mini Album with Endorsed Prima Educator Stephanie Miller

Hi all

Posted on Live with Primas wall on Facebook was a tutorial video of how to make a super cute and fast journal (or mini Album).

I decieded to give it a go and check out how to make this Journal and really was drawn by the ease and awesome bubbliness of Stephanie Miller....

Made with mainly Ruby Rock-it papers/embellishments and flowers

Greeting card elegance

Hi all

Remember the Drab 2 fab post?
Well I actually did a card to match as well.....

This card I had used the Fiskars "up in the clouds cartridge" with the  interchangeable boarder punch base (across the bottom) and the Fiskars decorative scissors- Boudiour(across the top)

Also used the No5 microtip scissors and some old Fiskars Birthday clear stamps.

The Papers are from Primas - Nature garden collection.
The white lace was trimmed from an old skirt that was found in a second hand store.... No sure what I did with the rest of the fabric.... used it up on something else ages ago. ;)

Who else gets fabric and lace from the second hand stores? Its a great way to save on cash. ;)

Well off I go - got heaps to do...

Aussie Fiskateer Circle Journal continued ~

....and here is what my THEME is all about.......I chose this beacause I really want to be able to enjoy learning some NEW papercrafting techniques from my fellow AUSSIE FISKATEERS......and once I have this Circle Journal back it shall be a great resource for me......

Once again I have just used papers from my stash....and I hand wrote the journaling ....something I love to do on my craft projects as that's an important part of who I am......

I'll be sharing my last page with you all next week on June 30th....so see you then.

Fetchy Sketchy Friday - its in the Layers

Hi sketchy fans..

this week experiment with layers...

I am a thrifty crafter and this is how I prepared my layers....

see how I cut out the middles to make frames?

This is how it came together...

The two punched layers (blue and red) are done with Fiskars boarder punch - up in the clouds cartridge.

I used plain cardstock, Ruby Rock-it red cardstock and Bella! chipboard letters.

from Drab to FAB!!!! Quick project.

Senario:
Last minute invite for daughter to go to friends birthday.
Not much money coming in for at least 4 days after event.
Not alot of time to create.

What do you do?
Panic?   Say she can't go? NA! Just do this...

I "sole" $9 from the food budget and got these....

Now that would have been alright on its own - but really?
The pressy would have been opened and an "oh thanks" and thats it.

But if the reciepitant recieved this in stead......

An "OH WOW!" would come into effect!

 

I only used 3 fiskars tools to decorate these....

• Fiskars no5 micro tip scissors
• Fiskars Up in the Clouds cartridge
• Fiskars Sure Cut trimmer (unpictured)

So for a very quick and inexpensive pressie try re-covering some very simple products like the above as we already have papers and tools at our arms length at home.

Fiskars and Fynmark what a great combo! part 2

Hello there everyone! Today i have to share with you all part 2 of my Fiskars /Fynmark combo projects.

First up is a calendar. Thanks to my Dad; he made the wood part for me to use, i had a great base to work from.

I think the main Fiskars tool i used for this project was my Trimmer! It was great to be able to measure up each square to place on the number block and know they will all be exactly the same.

I also trimmed the paper for the month blocks and then used my Fiskars fingertip knife to alter some of the chipboard stickers a little to fit where they needed to go on my calendar.

Next up is a little album i made using a different range of Fynmark/Ruby Rock it papers. this collection is called Vintadge.

I made a mini album for our trip to the uk in 2009.

For the front cover i used several Fiskars tools. The circle was already in the album but i used my Fiskars shape express and circle template to cut out the picture od zoe exactly the same size as the window in the album.I used my circle Fiskars everywhere punch to make a hole in the backing paper to put on the inside cover of the album also.

The ribbon as cut using my Fiskars scissors.....that were labeled "fabric"! long story check out this post

 

With all the other pages i used m Fiskars trimmer, Fingertip knife and Scissors. THis was quite a simple album but as the size was only 4 x 4 inches you could not really embellish a whole lot.

All the Fiskars and Fynmark products i used for all my projects can be found in spotlight!

Well i hope you enjoyed seeing  my little projects and hopefully you have had some inspiration to create some of your own.
