Hello everyone! sorry i have been M.I.A. for a little while, our family has had a few changes over the past month with my hubby working away and boy has it taken a lot of getting use too!
But i am back and have a great quick little card holder to share ready for Fathers Day this weekend.
It is so hard sometimes to buy for Dad's,especially as they get older and my Dad...well he is 67 now and seems to have EVERYTHING! so this year i have got him a gift card. I know it is a little boring but at least he can buy himself some books and get what he wants.
But those little holders they come with are....well YUCK! so i quickly made up my own for the gift card.
I love the Fiskars Upper Crest border punch. it is not as girly as most and suits well for a male gift. Along with the Fiskars Framed everywhere punch, they make a great match.
so i took a piece of card and folded to an envelope and then punched my border and centre window.
inside the card i cut some card stock to fit inside with my Fiskars trimmer, then on the back of the card placed the gift card, drew around it so i knew where i wanted it to go. then with my Fiskars shape express circle template and cutter i cut semi-circles on either side of the drawn lines so i could have little flaps to hold my gift card in. i glued the cardstock to my little hard holder and that was it! A sentiment on the front and a it of velcro to hold the card shut and it was done.
A quick little gift card holder for well...... any occasion!

What a great idea and fab holder Tara!!!
LOVE both punches you have used - they make perfect partners and are very masculine too - thank you for the inspiration :)
