Hi all
Here is the Flip Card Tutorial I promised you.
It is NOT my original idea... I saw Stephanie Bernard do it on Youtube but I thought I'd adapt it to use with Fiskars tools... so here we go!!
You will need:
- Double sided cardstock
- Fiskars Ultra Shape Express
- Fiskars shape template - any one will work well
- Fiskars SureCut trimmer with cutting and scoring blades
- Things to decorate your cards with
step 1
Trim your cardstock to 6" x 5 3/4"
Then with your longest side (6"side) along the top of the trimmer score at 2 1/4" then again at 3"
step 2
Aline your chosen shape in the middle of the card over laping the two score lines....
Cut only on the outside of the score lines... NOT between them!!!
WE ARE NOT CUTTING OUT THE FULL SHAPE
step 3
fold the card at the score lines... careful not to fold within the shape let that still be flat....
as in the picture....
When closed the card will look similar to this - front and back.
step 4
Decorate as desired.... The card seams to flip when you pull both sides of the card.
for this leafy card I used the Leaf template, boudiour decorative sissors and the Medium flower leaver punch.
Here is another variation.... with a heart....
Thanks so much for looking and I hope you enjoy trying out many different shapes with our shape templates.... try the square, oval, circle.... Christmas shapes, flowers etc.... they will all look very unique.
happy crafting!
