REMEMBER when I posted this little sneak peek a few weeks ago....well here is the finished Christmas Card.......
.....it's actually the first Christmas Card I made for this year....I was so inspired to make it after I attended PAPERIFIC in Melbourne late August when I purchased some of the NEW Alison Ellis Christmas Range of PAPERS.
I already had some of the fabulous Scrapmatts Chipboard birdies....in my stash...purchased last year at PAPERIFIC from the Scrapmatts Stand. This Tree paper from Alison Ellis was perfect to cut up....in fact there were 12 trees on the sheet.....so I have enough for 12 Cards.
I used my Fiskars Surecut Trimmer to cut out the trees and then I matted them with some black cardstock from my stash. I popped out a couple of the little birdies and attached them to the front of the tree.
Next I cut some white cardstock with my Trimmer and then attched some narrow black ribbon....once again....I just used what I already had in my supplies.....amazing what you can actually find when you have a clean up......LOL!
Cut off the ribbon with my Fiskars Microtip Scissors .
Once attached...I then stuck down the rest of the card....and Viola! There you have it !
My very first 2012 Christmas Card..Now I only have about 50 more to make......LOL!
So....look around you for Inspiration......sometimes a simple piece of patterned paper can lead to greater things.....perhaps start by looking through your own supplies....check out what papers,etc.. you already have......and then go from there. Making your own cards isn't meant to be stressful...it's more about organising yourself and your supplies.....and making time to craft!
Here s a few more examples using the same piece of Christmas Paper from Alison Ellis......
Adding a simple Stamped Christmas Sentiment or little birdie....can look amazing also.
I must admit I love my Fiskars Compact Stamp Press......it's so easy to use!
