Welcome to WEEK 2 of my Photo a Day Mini Album......
.....................................if you missed WEEK 1 then you can see it HERE
I know a couple of you are playing along....please let me know if you are having-a-go at making one of these fun Mini Albums.....and if you have any questions...then leave them in comments section under here...or you can email me at
Please put Mini Album question in the title.
ok.....last week I asked you to put aside your 6" x 6" cut pieces after you had punched around all the corners.......and I also asked you to get your Helmar Liquid Glue (or similar) ready to use this week......
Now comes the fun part....you need to decide the order of your papers......and then using a paint brush......apply some liquid adhesive....spreading it out evenly and quickly.....as it can dry very quickly...
So you are going to adhere two pieces together and you should end up with 16 pages.....double - sided
It's best to have some bricks or something very heavy handy to use to weight down your pages as you do them......the heavier the better....then the pages set rock hard and are nice and smooth.
I used my Punches container......and my Cuttlebug Machine sitting on top of a cutting mat.....so I had even pressure...I was making my Album whilst away from home...so I had to make do with things in my holiday home kitchen.
It's best to leave these overnight...or even a couple of days....then the pages shall be lovely and flat.
Whilst you waiting for these to dry you can start cutting up your white cardstock with your trimmer.
You'll need to cut 31 pieces 4" x 5.5"....and taking a black pen.....roughly doodle around the edges
I went around mine twice.......just freehand.....don't try and be too exact.....
Using coloured pencils or markers if you prefer.....colour in between the two doodling lines.
I I then ran my white pieces through my Cuttlebug to give an embossed look....you don't have to do this Step if you don't want to.....but if you do...make sure you colour in before you emboss...it's much easier.
My photos are going to be sitting on top of these white pieces...I may include more than one pic some days...so I shall probably overlap some of my pics....depends on what pics I take in December.
Look around or make some DAY TABS 1-31 if making this for December...I used a perfect cardstock sheet from the Kaisercraft Mint Twist Range which peels off like a sticker....so I cut some more small pieces of white cardstock with my trimmer......and stuck each day on these...
The next Step is to adhere your 4" x 5.5" white cardstock to each side of your coloured papers/cardstock....I have actually adhered all mine in readiness to start my Photo A Day....but you can leave this Step to add each day once you know what your pic is going to be....that way you can decide which way you wish to adhere the white cardstock....vertical or horizontal.....make sense?
You need to place the DAY TAB between the coloured cardstock and the white cardstock...then adhere....I used my Helmar glue again here....but double sides tape would also work very well
Hope you are still with me and that I haven't lost any of you...but if I have confused you.....please let me know .....or ask away in the comments section....others may wish to know the same thing.
Back next Wednesday Nov 28th with WEEK 3.....and the last week.....where you shall get your Album completed and ready to use by December.
Fiskars Tools used so far are:
So have your Circle Hand Punch(1/4") ready next week.....OR your Fiskars Eyelet Setter Punch 1/4" and some Scissors as well as your trimmer.
We'll be adding the final touches,doing the cover,adding the pages,punching holes,adding rings and ribbons/threads.......fun,fun,fun!!!!
See you next week! Until then.......
HAPPY CRAFTING!
xoxo

OK - that Kaisercraft cardstock sheet looks perfect for this project, will definitely be looking out for it, as I love that font for the day tabs and those cute number ornaments too :)
