A great way to make a fun card is to use one of the many Fiskars Templates as Tamara has done here.
Here's what she had to say:
This card takes advantage of a beautiful pattern paper by Teresa Collins as well as my USE and Christmas 1 Template for the Christmas tree centrepiece. I cut a vertical fold card 4 inches wide and 11 in long (this means you can get three cards out of a 12x12 sheet of scrapbook paper) with my Fiskars Rotary Trimmer and then folded it in half. The tree is cut out with my USE and template from a piece ofcream card stock. I rounded the corners on both the card base and cream card stock using my 1/4in corner rounder to add some interest and match the rounded shape of the tree branches. I stamped a sentiment from Penny Black and coloured the leaves of the mistletoe, used a black pen to draw fake stitching around the tree and border and secured it to the card base. To finish it off I added a bit of sparkle with self adhesive rhinestones (it is a Christmas card after all!) and a star at the top if the tree. This design is would be easy and cost effective to mass produce just make sure you use a heavyweight (card stock weight) patterned paper for the base or it will be too flimsy.
Pretty card Tara - love your paper, faux stitching and bling!!!
