Sewing - Felt Heart Box with tutorial

Hi all

I had some felt lying around so decided to get onto creating with it....

This Heart Felt Box is made very quickly and for my daughters small hair accessories. But you can put anything in it....

You will need:
Fiskars supersized hearts templates
Fiskars Pinking shears
Fiskars Titanium rotary cutter
Fiskars Square quilt ruler
Fiskars Quilt cutting mat

Also used:
sewing machine, thread, taylors chalk pencil, black and red felt squares

1. get out your felt squares...

2. Cut out 2 strips 3" wide

3. mark and cut out a large heart
 

4. sew both ends of the red 3" strips but make sure one is on the inside and one on the outside to make a heart - as pictured.
 

5. Trim with pinking shears to make it look tidy.


6. Pin then sew the red heart sides to the black heart bottom




7. trim edges with your pinking shears and you are finished!
Now fill it with the things you love...
