Hi all
on Saturday 2nd and 3rd the Chinese Lantern Festival was on in Christchurch, Hagley park. It was simply amaizing!

and of course I've been making some lanterns just to celebrate in our own tiny way here at home.....
I used the Journalling shape template for these lamps.
This is the oval type shape cut three times- i attached a brad at the bottom and weaved the ribbon through the top holes which I made with the 1/8" circle hand punch:
This one was cut out twice using the "top note" type journalling and bent in the middle and glued at the sides.
This one is the Rectangle type shape. Glued at the sides and hole punched at the top.
so now we have our own little string of small lanterns for decorating our home for Chinese new year.
No fancy hand painting needed just Fiskars tools and scrapbook paper. ;)
