This Wonder & Dream' layout uses:

Bella  Blue fusion range of papers with plain kraft and a touch of red cardstock

Fiskars products used:

Extra large  seal of approval squeeze punch
Ivy League interchangeable border punch on a 3cm wide strip of cardstock.
Rope border punch
trimmer & fingertip craft knife.

The red scallop half circle is the pull tab for hidden journaling behind the photo.

Wedding Cards by Jayne

Recently Jayne Killin from South Australia was sent some BELLA products to play around with ....here are her Wedding Cards that she created using the fabulous BELLA products.

Jayne had fun using her Fiskars Trimmer and Scissors! These are a must for any cardmaking!

You really do need a good trimmer,scissors and get yourselfa scoring blade when you purchase your trimmer....these come inso handy when scoring cards.

Aussie Christmas Wishes - Card a Day

How are you going with your Christmas card making?

I'm thrilled to say that I have just crossed another two off my list!!!

My brother and his family live in the USA and this year I am making some Aussie themed cards for each of the kids.  You may remember that earlier this year Bella released some fab Australiana stacks (in 3 different sizes, 12x12, 8x8 and 4.5x6.5") and I have enjoyed making lots of red, white and blue Aussie cards with them.  Luckily they are still available at my local Spotlight, so I got another couple of mat stacks and a pack of the Fundamentals PETITES Alphabet Stickers, the blue matches really well with the papers.  This 1st card was an 8x8" sheet trimmed in half.

Do you like the banner?

... it is actually the "waste" bit that comes off when you punch a Banners Away border with your Interchangeable Punch Cartridge!!!

The stars are the Fiskars medium Twinkle Twinkle squeeze punch.  I took a fine brush and painted Helmar Professional Acid Free Glue on all the stars and the banner bits and smothered them with glitter (do them one at a time, as the glue dries really fast), layered the stars with a dob of glue, stuck the banner bits down with some of the same glue then used foam dots to give the stars some dimension.

Do you like the sparkly "red" gum leaves?

I punched a red strip of cardstock using Ivy League Interchangeable Border Punch Cartridge, cut to make a narrow strip, painted with glue and smothered with red glitter.  The alpha stickers are from my stash - I sanded off the glossy coating, inked them red, then used the same glue and glitter so that they matched the leafy border.  I used the same glue and fine paintbrush to stick the alphas down, as the self adhesive backing got a bit "distressed" by the sanding/inking/glittering process!!!

I added some red rhinestones to the trees to finish it off and make it look a little more Christmassy.

I now have two Christmas cards ready to post come December 1st - which is a first for me!!!  One more "Aussie" card to make and all three kids will get their Down Under Christmas wishes.

Hopefully there will be a kangaroo card hopping by here soon!!!

Having fun with Bella products

I've been busy the past few weeks designing some fun Make'n'take Projects for the Royal Melbourne Show in September.........I'm working once again in the CRAFT HUB area in the ART,CRAFT and COOKERY PAVILION.......offering some fun PAPERCRAFTING demonstrations and Make'n'takes!

I have already shared a few sneak peeks of some of the Cards.....so now I'm sharing the LAYOUT!

I've absolutely loved playing around with this gorgeous glittered cardstock by Bella.....Icy Drop and Pink Musk from the Sugar Candy Paperz Range by Bella........love...love....love it!!!!

My Fiskars Surecut Trimmer,Microtip Scissors and Tool Taxi have got a good workout putting all the Kits together....pre-cutting everything this year.....but crafters shall be able to use any of my Craft Tools to complete their Make'n'takes......the whole idea behind the CRAFT HUB is to encourage people to come and HAVE-A-GO!!! Come and try a new craft.....and be supported in your learning....and the main thing is that you have fun.....and I can assure you we always have such a blast working in the CRAFT HUB.....the Show Organiser (Judy) and her TEAM are fabulous to work with!

Maybe I'll see some of our Blog Followers there in September.....

Floral + Felt + Fiskars= FUN !!!!!

I'm in crafting heaven at the moment surrounded by so much crafty goodness from Bella/Fynmark

I've finished kitting up the LAYOUT.......this shall be offered as a Make'n'take in the CRAFT HUB at the Royal Melbourne Show....along with some other fun Papercraft projects....ooh I can't wait to spend time playing around and demonstrating Papercraft (which includes Cardmaking,Scrapbooking)

Having such fabulous bright and cheery cardstock and embellishments to work with has made my job so much more enjoyable.....thank you so much to FYNMARK!

 Can't share the LAYOUT SAMPLE just yet......you'll have to wait a bit longer......LOL!

The Show starts on Saturday September 22nd......and that shall be the first day that I'll be in the CRAFT HUB.....then we shall be back again on Sept 27th and 28th for more papercrafting fun....so mark down the dates if you want to come and play!

 I'll be encouraging people to just HAVE-A-GO!!! Come and see what fun PAPERCRAFTING can be....bring the kids.....I'll have something for everyone to try.....in fact I love it when parents sit and craft together....it's such fun! Mind you we don't want the kids to have all the fun now do we....so that's why it's important as adults that we try a few NEW crafts.....just take the risk...and come and play!!!

Fetchy Sketchy Friday - snowball fight with dad

Yes I'm still hooked on snow.... and still scrapbooking last years photos.... I've fallen behind a little....

Here is the sketch...

You can use boarder punches on the side of the photos if you wish and make awesome swirls,flowers and leaves with fiskars tools and punches. Sew along the dotted lines too or just draw them.

Here is my layout example:

I used "Vintedge" line of Ruby Rock-it papers for my layout (available from Spotlight stores) and cut the pattern on the paper with Fiskars Ultra Shape Express freehand to slip the photos behind (saves on embellishments)
I then used the rest of the cardstock I hand trimmed off with Fiskars Surecut trimmer, as I trimmed to A4 size, then reversed the cardstock and cut along the pattern to make a fancy boarder. Enhanced with Bella! bling added Bella! raw chipboard letters and painted them white. But before I adhered them to the page I put black crayon scribble behind them. Yes that was normal kids wax crayon.

Very simple layout with heaps of focus on the photos.... just what I like.

Fetchy Sketchy Friday - its in the Layers

Hi sketchy fans..

this week experiment with layers...

I am a thrifty crafter and this is how I prepared my layers....

see how I cut out the middles to make frames?

This is how it came together...

The two punched layers (blue and red) are done with Fiskars boarder punch - up in the clouds cartridge.

I used plain cardstock, Ruby Rock-it red cardstock and Bella! chipboard letters.

Hunger games inspired layout

Latest book that I am reading is book 3 from the Hunger Games series.....
Yes it is now coming out in my crafting....

I have based the following layout on this outfit worn by Effie Trinket a character from the hunger games movie…

I boarder punched the photo mat with Fiskars interchangable boarder punch - groovy ranbow cartridge.

Fetchy Sketchy Friday - Swirly flowers

I love swirls and flowers they always make me happy..... put some bling and make your own flowers using Fiskars punches and scissors.

Here is my Example...

I used:

• "up in the clouds" cartridge for the fiskars interchangeble boarder punch.
• Fiskars funky heart squeeze punch for the black flowers.
• Fiskars May flowers squeeze punch for the middle of the flowers.

Other supplies:

• Prima - nature garden A4 paper pad for background paper
• Bella! raw letters - inked roughly with Archival Black ink pad
• Ruby Rock-it black/white paper twine
• Bella! Bling
• white tissue paper that came in some packaging
