Azza shares more cards

A little something, A little thank you

Hi all

YES we are finally back in our own home after earthquake fix ups!
The place still smells a small bit of paint but thats all good. ;)

My daughter and I made little somethings while we were away in the Motels....

We of course made things with the Nostalgia - Ruby Rock-it range..... and a little Bella! product too.

Here is my daughters mini folder thingy...

Here is mine.... (it was a thankyou gift for the Motels that put us up While our place was being fixed)

I used the butterfly leaver punch for the butterflies (dried Terri Sproul Mixer skins, a crystal lacquer and micapowder mix dried flat as paper, is easily punched when dry.)

All cutting  is either done with my Fiskars micro tip scissors or my Fiskars paper trimmer (scoring also done with the paper trimmer with scoring blade.)

Fetchy Sketchy Friday - a Bird Layout

Hi all here is an A4 sketch layout that can be adapted easily to 12x12 or even a greeting card....

Now when I designed this layout I was thinking about possible "Hunting Games" type look going towards the outrageous "Capitol Couture" look. Bling and big flowers....

The four strips represent the fingers and nail art seen in photos of a main character "Effie Trinket"

The Strips I used Fiskars interchangeable boarder punch cartridge - up in the clouds. I cut the strips at one inch in width then punched both sides.

The butterflies are Fiskars Delicate Butterfly leaver punch.
Rounded corners of the photos punched with Fiskars Squeeze punch - around the corner

Surecut Trimmer used to trim photos/page/strips to size.

Brown flower = silk flower by Bella!
lace flower made by me with the help of Fiskars Microtip scissors
Chipboard daisies by Fuby Rock-it- Nostalgia with Flowersoft added in the middle of them.

Just in time....PHEW !

I have finally finished making EASTER BASKETS for my gorgeous grandkids.....SAMUEL and GEMMA...so thought I'd share with you!

Sam's basket has a few pairs of socks,3 little chocolate eggs and a little chick.....whilst Gemma's basket doesn't have the chocolate eggs.....seeing she is only 6 and a half months old.....LOL!

I hope they like them......

Making a Paper Easter Lilly - tutorial

Hi all.
Well Easter is quickly aproaching. About a week to go!

One song has been stuck in my head. It is called "Girl in Stilletos" by Anna Mac

I kept thinking I need to make myself some Stilletoes!

These are for the ladies I am close to in church.

I couldn't stop!

Thanks to the help of Fiskars tools: scissors and embossing stylus
And the help of Bella! Sugar Candy cardstocks and Ruby Rock-it Nostalgia chipboard embellishments/stickers.

See the Easter Lilly in the shoe?
Well here is a Tutorial on how to make yours!

1. Cut out two petal formations in white cardstock per flower.
here is the photo of the template (draw up your own any size you want)

2. Spray each petal formation with water and scrunch up into balls then flatten a bit and dry with heat gun.

3. Colour the middles of each petal formation with green ink.

4. to make the stemans of the flower take the white ones you buy at any Spotlight store in the floral/wedding section and ink up the stems in green then put flowersoft on the tips. Let dry

5. Put holes in the middle of the petal formations

4. Put three stamens in the middle of two petal formations.

5. put glue near the stamens and pinch the petals up and let dry.

6. Cut half inch strips of green cardtock about 6" long

7. Fold the green strips in half and put double sided tape down the middle. Attach to flower head with the bottom of the flower attached where the stamens stick out.

8. Curl the white petals back a little. And you are finished.... another addicting thing. Making flowers!

Nostalgia Ruby Rock-it Easter Basket Tutorial

Hi all. Would you believe it? Easter is just around the corner and the kids in NZ have one more week after this one left for school term! This term has gone soooo fast!

Well this morning I got some happy mail from Fynmark (the company that does Bella! and Ruby Rock-it)

We as a team here at Fiskars Craft has been asked to create things with the Nostalgia collection and Bella! Sugar Candy (sparkly and embossed cardstocks).

Yes only recieved this morning and I leaped into creating with it and here is the tutorial for these easter baskets....

Step one:
Cut out 5" circle using Supersized Circles

step 2:
score a 3.50" circle template inside the circle

Step 3:
Cut 1/2" increments up to the scored circle

step 4:
fold along the score line

step 5:
Cut 5" strip from 12x1" cardstock

Step 6:
Use Adhesive tape along bottom of this strip

Step 7:
Stick around the basket base and Staple closed.

Step 8:
Cut 1" strip then staple to basket side for the handle.

now decorate the basket with a punched 1" strip of cardstock on the top. Punched with the boarder punch "up in the clouds"

now add the chipboard pieces and paper twine where you wanted.

and you are finished!

A Birthday Card from Ange

Some of our Fiskars Demonstrators have been hard at work designing some fabulous projects since they received some samples of the fabulous NEW Fiskars Interchangeable Border Punches.....

Today's project has come through from Angela O'Neil from Brisbane,Queensland.....

Ange has used the "X Marks the Spot " Cartridge to create this wonderful birthday card for her son!!

She has also used some of the " PAPER BOYZ" Range of products  from Bella.

Ange has gone back to Primary Teaching......having Grade 3 this year.....she tells me she is loving it but still finds time to craft and go to Crops with her friends.

Isn't it nice to see one of Ange's projects again? We'll be sharing more of Ange's projects in the next week....so keep an eye on the Blog!

Here is my entry. I made this card using Bella Australiana papers from Fynmark, inspiration from their DT cards shared on Facebook and LOTS of Fiskary tools.

Tools used include my trusty green self healing craft mat, fingertip craft knife, "Happy and you know it" clear stamps, medium, large and XL Twinkle Twinkle squeeze punch, medium Tag You're It squeeze punch and medium One Way squeeze punch.

Can't wait to see you project - don't forget entries close 25th January :)

My first Step Card

After I received some fun NEW Fiskars Winter Special Edition Punches from Lead Fiskateer Rebecca Peck last week I decided to rip open a few and try them out....as you do.....LOL!

I used the following two FISKARS  punches to create my first project for 2012

Flaking Out Border Punch...............and Not even a Mouse Lever Punch

I turned the mouse upside down on the front of this card .....in fact I punched out 6 mice....and then used my Fiskars hand punch (heart) to create a fun card topper.....

I had fun creating this Step Card for my dear scrapping buddy CAROLYN......hope she likes it!

The embellishments I used where from my stash...mainly white bazzill cardstock and product from the Bella Red Fusion Range!

I'm addicted now.....so I'm going to make a few more of these fun cards....next one shall be for my hubby for our 38th Wedding Anniversary on January 12th......shall be back soon to share with you all.......

A spinning Christmas card

Hello there, As Christmas gets closer i am frantically making my xmas cards and getting them in the post. One of the cards i made this year is a cute spinning christmas card.

It is really easy to make with your fiskars tools.

Here is how you make it.....

You will need a 5 1/2"square card. I used Fynmark fundamentals embossed cards. Take some patterned paper and cut out a 13cm x 13cm square. glue to your card.

Take your 1"fiskars circle squeeze punch and cut a semi circle from the right side of your card.

Put your card to one side.

 Using the shape express and circle templates cut a circle from

card stock 4 1/2 "

Find the centre of your circle and put a brad through it. attach the circle and brad through your card also. This will create your spinner.

On a piece of scrap paper stamp or print out 4 small images and colour,glitter etc. make sure your pictures are no bigger than 1". Cut them out. I layered mine with  fiskars square scalloped squeeze punched shapes.

Put the images to one side.

Cut a 12cm x 12cm piece of card stock and a 11.5cm x 11.5cm piece of patterned paper. glue the patterned paper to the card stock. 1/2 way down the left side of the card stock cut a semi circle with the 1"Fiskars circle squeeze punch.

Using your Fiskars everywhere punch starter set punch a window on the middle left side of your card stock.

Lay your card stock over your card and spinning circle to see where to glue your images. glue the images 1 by 1 turning the circle to make sure you can see each one through your "window".

Place 3D foam pads on the corners of your card with the window in it. place over your spinning circle making sure that you have not stuck the circle and it moves freely.

Decorate the front of your card and the inside.I used some stickers and made a little frame to go around the window part of my card.

I have used Fiskars new double bubble border punch inside the card and the sentiment stamp is Fiskars cling stamp Christmas set.
