A Fynmark Christmas with a little help from Fiskars

 I finally recovered from a busy weekend craft at Spotlight Noarlunga here in Adelaide this Saturday just gone.

Here's the 6 x 6 layout we made at the Fynmark demo...
Wow.. what a day it was. I had people waiting for me when I arrived so it was a super quick set up and then we got straight into it.

Every time the table clear from one lot of people the next group sat down. I didn't get a change to check my clock until one minute to three we were that busy.
 
 
 

And the Bella Candy cane paper range was a HUGE hit. I sold the whole lot of paper we had on display at the table in the first hour and a half. The rest of the embellishments and chipboard walked away at some amazing prices too.

Must say I am a little upset I wasn't quicker as I had the other Bella Christmas range on display too... but before I could pop some away for myself for later they were all snuffled up... **insert sad face here"...lol.. such great value for money and quality.

Thanks again to the great staff at Spotlight for all the wonderful work that you did on the day to promote my workshop. It was a pleasure to work with you all.

Thanks also to all those that popped in to have a play with the Bella paper range and Fiskars tools.

Ginny came from SALE to play

 

WOW.....what a fun time I have had today doing a Fynmark Workshop in Spotlight Bairnsdale. Ginny made the 1 hour trip up the Princes Highway from SALE to play with me and scrap some layouts....

 

Ginny was delighted to be able to come and play and to learn some tips about the Fiskars Tools.....and was delighted to play with the fabulous Fynmark products....from the Bella Candy Cane Range and the Fundamentals Range...and what a surprise she got when she saw the Fiskars Rotating Mat and Trim Set on the shelves.......so she just had to have that as well......LOL!

 

A special "hello" to young Amy who came and played with her mum to create a fun handmade card.....and she is only 4.....what a delightful child....Amy  you did a fabulous job of using the Fiskars Squeeze Punches to create your card.....VERY WELL DONE!!

I might see Amy and her mum next Saturday when it's KIDS CRAFT DAY in Spotlight.....I'll be back in Spotlight Bairnsdale from 12-3pm Sat Dec.11th for some more FISKARS FUN!! 

Check out Amy's CONCENTRATION....a young crafter in the making.......LOL!

Dianne's Paper Craft Christmas Trees

Looks like Dianne had fun over at Spotlight Bayswater on Thursday Night....the paper craft trees were a big hit..... 

It's nice to see parents crafting with their children at these fun crafting events in the stores....the kids find the Fiskars Punches so easy to use......

Mrs Claus came out to play last night at Fountain Gate

WOW....what a fantastic night I had last night at Spotlight Fountain Gate for their Xmas VIP Night......what a fun night.....I'm still on such a positive HIGH......LOL!

I shared a long table with Debbie from Spotlight who was demoing How to Create Xmas Projects with wool...including how to make Pom Poms.....I loved working side by side....I had another passionate crafter to share ideas with.......mind you we didn't have much time to chat as we were flat out all night....it was so busy.....but I loved every minute of it!

Hello lovely ladies......these two great friends couldn't speak much English but that didn't stop them having fun...in fact they tried out every punch I had I think.....LOL! Had to move them on as we had so many people wanting to play with us.....they would have stayed all night at our table....and not visit the other tables....LOL!

It was lovely to have Rebeecca and her lovely mum come and play again.....hasn't Rebecca done a great job of her card.....and thanks Rebecca for helping others on the night when I was busy.....

We didn't have a set Make "n" Take on the night but I did have several project samples on display to try and Inspire some Creativity....and that worked really well for encouraging participants to "have-a-go" at creating their own individual card....project.

It was great to see some children participating on the night...and this little girl created a fabulous card even though she has limited sight....it was lovely to help her achieve some success......she had a lovely time playing with the Punches....

The Fiskars Scallop Punches were a huge hit last night...and everyone was wanting "stars" on their

cards....

We also played with the Fiskars Bow Maker creating some fun Christmas Bows....

It really was a fun night....sure we had the messiest table...but we also had the most fun crafting...consumers were lining up to join in.....LOL!  Well why not...they could see that we were all having a fabulous fun time!

I was so pleased to see people trying the Fiskars Tools for the first time....

I'd like to thank Brownyn and her fabulous staff for a fabulous ,well organised Christams Craft Night....we all had such a great time....we all learnt some tips and tricks from one another....and that's what I love about Crafters...they are always willing to share their skills and knowledge with others!

Hands on is the best way to retain your learning!!

I'm off to Spotlight Bayswater tomorrow to facilitate a Fiskars Craft Clinic between 12-3pm. So pop on in and play with me if you are near by......I'll be demoing the Fiskars Tools....giving you a few tips and tricks to take away with you.

Azza loves her Fiskars Power Gear Pruners

 

Fiskars Demonstrator Azza Zedrak has been gardening today in the beautiful sunshine in New South Wales.....here's what Azza sent through to me.....

Hi Lyn,

I usally hate gardening and especially pruning as it causes so much pain for my hands. I had no problems with this tool no effort to continously push down on them to cut. It just went thru the smaller twigs with ease. I will be doing more gardening now thanks to fiskars.

So glad you find these easy to use Azza....they are such user friendly Pruners....and did you know that these along with some other Fiskars tools...both in Garden and Craft.... have all  received the following Ease Of Use Commendation by the Athritis Foundation......WOWIE...what a fantastic award!

Well looks like Tracy Moloney Fiskateer # 6773 has had her mum and dad out in the sunshine the past week enjoying her NEW Fiskars Gardening Tools......and it  also looks like she might have a fight on her hands trying keep these fabulous tools.....LOL!

Here's what Tracy sent through this morning....

Dear Lyn & Fiskars,

My Mum & Dad came to visit and said that “with Fiskars you are never too old”!!!

I let them both have a mini workout with my Fiskars Power Gear Pruners and my Fiskars Easy Reach Pruning Wand and they loved them.

They are both seniors and I will politely say they are both over 70 and leave it there.

Mum has very bad arthritis in her hands(as you will see in the photos) and Dad has problems with his shoulders and back.

It has been a great visit, my geranium, fuchsia and lemon tree are now neatly pruned and the pieces chopped up into the garden waste recycle bin.

                                      Thank you Mum,Dad & Fiskars!!!

PS – I know I will have to hide them both so that they don’t go home with Mum & Dad

Caitlin loves the Fiskars Power Gear Pruners

I thought I'd share a lovely email and pics that came through to me from Fiskateer # 4841 Melissa Kennedy today. I love my Fiskars tools - well all the scrapbooking ones, so very willing to try out the gardening ones too - next best hobby alongside of scrapbooking

These pruners are awesome. First of all I was unsure of the handle that swivels UNTIL Iused them. But not only are they light weight but easy enough that even my daughter can use (as you can see by my pics) and wanted to use and wouldn't let me use after that.

Also they don't squish the thin stems of my flowers but actually clean cut them.

Fantastic This totally gorgeous sunny Sunday has turned into a daisy delight for my little girl Caitlin

Tracy Prunes with Ease with FISKARS Power Gear Pruners

........here is what she had to say about her little Fiskars "Happy Mail" that arrived this week.......mmmmm think those Fisk-a-fairies have been at it again......LOL!        So watch out....................!!!

Dear Lyn and Fiskars Australia,

Thank you for sending me a pair of the New Fiskars PowerGear Pruners – it was a lovely surprise J When I opened my New FiskarsPower Gear Pruners they felt so light compared to my old (sorry to confess but not Fiskars) pair.

As you know, I suffer from Rheumatoid Arthritis and do not have a lot of strength in my hands and have trouble gripping my fingers but these new pruners felt so comfortableand I could not wait to give them a test run.

My favourite plant growing in the garden is called a “spurge”, apart from having really pretty yellow-green flowers, it has sentimental value as it was given to me many, many years ago by my Grandma. It is a very hardy plant and always does better for a hard pruning.

The flowers haven’t long opened but I thought the hard, woody stems on this plant would be the perfect test for the pruners.

I picked a branch that would also make mowing easier for my husband and they worked a treat. Normally I cannot cut thick, hard stems like this one but I was able to cut it with no trouble at all.

- I will now be able to do more in the garden, instead of watching my husband do all the rewarding work.
