We would like to welcome all the new readers to our Fiskars Craft Blog. We have had quite a few new Subscribers since the start of the year so thought it might be time to let you know about the

What THE you might say!  Well......Fiskateers is a vibrant and friendly International Fiskars Community ....a great place to hang out...meet new friends....be inspired....share projects and general helpful advice on general life activities.....in an online community 24/7.

I must admit I love spending time networking with like minded crafters around the world......you too can join up today ......it's fun.....it's Fiskars....and it's FREE!

Last minute Thank you Cards and Matching Tags

Are you stuck for time this Christmas but want to make some handmade cards and tags?

I found a great site whilst surfing the net.......over at Jolly Allsorts

They have FREE downloadables.......such as these for making quick and easy Gift Cards and Tags.

So thought I'd share here with you all............time can be taken up with other things at this time of the year......or maybe you have forgotten someone....these would also be great for Teachers Gifts.

So grab yourself a craft bag.....most of us probably have at least one of these around the home...and some ribbons or embellishments from your stash....maybe a Christmas decoration like I have used...it came off some chocolates that I was given last year...so I'm re-gifting it....

The tags could also be used as a Bookmark! So surf the net if you are stuck for time....there are so many great projects around this time of the year......Jolly Allsorts

Cards requested to show support

Hi everyone,

As some of you may already know the lovely Cheryl Bodkin Waters has been recently diagnosed with Breast Cancer......

In order to show our support from here in Australia and New Zealand I am in the process of collecting Cards,small gifts for her to send over to the US in one package.

I already have some cards here that have been created by fellow Aussie Fiskateers....but I'm not sending over until late next week so if any other readers would like to send through a support card for Cheryl....please do so asap......please email me for my postal details.

Aussie Fiskateer Vicki takes up the CHallenge

It's great to see another Aussie Fiskateer take up the "Happy 10,000 Fiskateers Challenge we have going on here........love how Vicki has used her Fiskars Texture Plates and Templates as the background.......very creative...................what a nice collection of Fiskars Tools you have there Vicki.....and your Special Fiskateer Scissors make a great tail on the "y".....

Girls just wanna' have fun RIGHT?

WOW....what a fun day we had yesterday helping to raise funds for the NBCA at my GIRLS DAY IN....thank you all for coming up here......Rod and I love  sharing our home with others.



Our diets certainly went out the window yesterday.....LOL! Everyone brought along a plate of food to share......thanks ladies. Made my job so much easier.....ooh and Rosemary also brought along some Local Wine.......mm...must say it was verrrrryyyyyyyyyy nice! Thanks to Margaret and Rosemary for offering to be the kitchen hands for the day..........LOL!

Once everyone arrived we gave a little talk each about who we were....where we came from etc....and our experiences with Cancer......we also shared some great ideas and recipes....LOL!  Glenda shared a great tip on using Prunes AND Gin to help with Arthritic Conditions.....something she is trying herself right now......

Toni caught me on camera giving out the PINK treat Bags......thanks for sending through some of your pics Toni......................think my PINK wig had fallen off by the time this was taken......LOL!

We had a little vote for the following :

MOST OUTRAGEOUS

WOW FACTOR

Maureen won the WOW factor and loved her PINK prize......and Fiskateer Kathy Smullen won the MOST OUTRAGEOUS....well that's no surprise is it....for those who know her.....and Rosemary won BEST DRESSED.....

We played a few fun games...including ....WAIT FOR IT........

            " TOUCH AND FEEL ".  ........WHAT THE?

Participants had to try and guess what was in the PINK Pillow Slip by just touching and feeling.......they only had 2 minutes each to do this.....

CELEBRITY HEADS was another popular game.........here's Sharyn taking her turn.....this was a tricky one for her......so darn funny! Next up to have a turn were good friends Sandra and Maureen...

These two ladies had a great time......they are two of my very good friends from the Woori Yallock Football Club.

Kathy brought best friend Sharyn along with her yesterday......it was so nice to meet you Sharyn and you both looked gorgeous in your outfits.

      One of the games was called BEDAZZLE THE BRA...I asked for 4 Volunteers...they could choose any of my craft goodies on the table and choose a pair of BRAS to BEDAZZLE......they had about 20 minutes to do this whilst the others were playing another game. So the rest of the Guests had no idea what these 4 were up too in the loungeroom.....LOL!

Toni and Rosemary decided to work together to BEDAZZLE their BRA.....a real joint effort you might say................Rosemary was overheard saying... " now are we going to do both sides the same "....OMG!

Sharyn chose the Black Bra to BEDAZZLE...and she did a great job of it.....

I just put out heaps of Fiskars Tools...punches,scissors,trimmer,craft knives....and there was plenty of BLING......and plenty of HELMAR 450.......LOL!  Does a great job of Altering Bras......might be a good thing to keep in mind ladies...for the future.......LOL!

Thanks to Toni for this pic of some of the guests outside.......as well as my hubby talking with friend Glenda......Glenda's mum and Rod's mum were good friends.....

Once completed the BRA BEDAZZLERS had to model their ALTERED BRAS for the rest of the group..

Not sure whether Toni was just helping Kathy with her bling in this pic or stuffing her bras....LOL!

Well......................here they are as you have never seen them before...................BOLD and BEAUTIFUL...............they were quite proud to strut their stuff.......and so they should be....LOL!

I think they may have done some modelling before.......so darn funny.....................

.........and this cheeky Fiskateer......loved the limelight..................getting right into modelling mode...she had the walk down pat...and the swinging of the beads......LOL!

It was a lovely day...............and all for a great cause.......

So if you are thinking of holding your own GIRLS DAY IN or GIRLS NIGHT IN fundraiser....it's great fun.......................... we even managed to get some craft happening yesterday...amid lots of laughter

Special thanks to these four ladies......you were all great sports.....

I shall be banking the funds raised later this week.....so thank you all for supporting the CANCER COUNCIL......and special thanks to FISKARS AUSTRALIA for providing some great prizes.

Forgot to say that Kathy used her prize winning Fiskars Rag Snips to create her PINK Breast Cancer symbol on her outfit........you looked amazing Kathy....hope you didn't get pulled over last night on the way back to Cranbourne.......LOL!

Special thanks also to Toni for giving me these gorgeous flowers that have opened up overnight....

We have them in our country kitchen where we can enjoy them all day long......THANK YOU SO MUCH!

I love this Heidi Grace "Love Blossoms" Range....it's so pretty....and so appropriate for GIRLS DAY IN.

Kathy gave me this gorgeous hand crafted gift box and card.

Kathy used some of her Fiskars Tools to create these.....can you tell which ones?
