The Card Purse.....

By now you know that I love giving out random pressies to the ladies at church and this week was no exeception.

I found a great tutorial on how to make a card purse on line (via Pinterest) and decided to give it a go.

Here is what I made from that tutorial.... I love learning from others, new ways to do things. I'm constantly watching tutorials on you tube and looking at crafters blogs. It helps keep me fresh and my mojo doesn't go on holiday.

The base of my purse outside was cereal boxes instead of chipboard. Basically the same thing anyway. ;)

The green cardstock is from Stampin Up!
The patterned papers are from Wherehouse Stationery - Grace Taylor vintage elegance scrapbook kit.
My own handmade pink/white tissue paper twine. My Tutorial vid is here.

Create beautiful bows from patterned paper!

Want to put a creative twist on your gift wrap this holiday season? Grab a few sheets of patterned paper and your favorite Fiskars trimmer, and create unique bows for all of your gift giving.

Instructions:
1.    Trim patterned paper into ¾ inch strips. You’ll need three 10 inch strips, two 8.5 inch, and one 4 inch strip for an average sized bow.

2.    Twist the strips of paper to form a loop on each end. Secure with a small staple.

3.    Layer the loops, starting with the largest on the bottom. Use glue dots to hold each layer.
 
4.    Finish with the smallest loop in the center.

5.    For added interest, cut decorative ribbons from patterned paper to use for the center loop.

   I think this project would be a great way to use up those paper scraps we all have in our stash!

It's finally here - GIRLS DAY IN

Well today's the day.................my GIRLS DAYS IN guests shall be arriving around 12pm today for a fun day....sharing stories.....playing some games....eating food.....and donating to a great cause.....the Breast Cancer Network Australia.

I've just popped in to give you all a little sneak peek of what each guest shall take home with them.....
I had fun creating these with of course my trusty Fiskars Craft Tools......they are actually made from a PINK Envelope.................maybe I'll do up a little Step by Step Tutorial if anyone is interested in trying to make one.......they are so easy.....and would be great for other occasions...eg..Wedding,Christmas,Bridal Shower,Baby Shower,Birthday,etc.etc....each PINK Favour has  a little PINK surprise inside it......SH........................SH....................

Each guest also gets their own little PINK treat bag......diets go out the door today....LOL!

ok...better dash....need to make sure I haven't forgotten anything.......here's another sneak peek....hope they all have a sense of Humour......well actually it's bad luck if they don't.....they will just get mildly embarrassed......LOL!

We are going to be playing...............wait for it.............. " BEDAZZLE THE BRA "......OMG.....

Haven't done this before...........so anything could happen here.....oh well...who cares...it's all in fun!

This game is played in pairs.....and they have 15 minutes to BEDAZZLE THE BRA.....using my craft supplies.......could be very interesting.....AND................BONUS POINTS  for modelling the finished product..................clothes on of course.....ROTFL!!

We are playing lots of fun games.....and winnners get to choose a PINK package from the prize table....

**** My SIL has her op today to remove a Cancerous Tumour....so we shall have Ann in our thoughts and prayers today.................hoping all goes well.........Rod and I shall be visiting her tomorrow in Melbourne. Also in my thoughts today is STACEY APEITOS a wonderful friend who really taught me how to live life......thanks Stacey!! Stacey opened up doors for me in the Crafting Industry in Australia and she was such a wonderful friend....I miss you Stacey! Stacey lost her battle with Breast Cancer 2 years ago.

Inspiration after PAPERIFIC - got me some washi tape

Last weekend I brought my first lot of "washi tape" to have a play with.......OMG.....I love it!

I also purchased a pack of 6 felt owls.....and sat down to have a play..................grabbed my favourite FISKARS TOOLS....

.......and had making this fun GIFT BAG made from an envelope....

I learnt this technique after doing the Make'n'take on the ENVELOPE SOLUTIONS STAND last weekend at PAPERIFIC in MELBOURNE.......SO EASY TO CREATE!! So on SUNDAY I snaffled the envelope that Rod was given for Father's Day....and have already started to create.......LOL!

As you can see I have had fun distressing the edges a bit with fine sandpaper......and I just have to cover the front with an embellishment......maybe another owl....not sure yet......

SAMUEL (my grandson) shall get the first bag which I'll fill with sweets for his 3rd birthday next month.

I have also finished his birthday card which I'll share soon.....and I've also finished creating GEMMA'S 1st birthday card....

We have 4 family birthday's in the next month so I have been having fun personalising some fun cards......shall share them all soon on here with you all......

Fiskateer Christmas Party today!!!

Hi everyone, 

Well the day is finally here.......I'm so darn excited to be sharing a fun day with some Fiskateer friends!

They shall be arriving soon.....I'm just doing a final check to make sure I haven't forgotten anything! 

Will be back later tonight with some pics and a party report if I'm not too tired......LOL! Might be over the weekend......

Beryl Fiskateer #7212 shares with us today

Hi everyone,

We  love it when we receive lovely emails from our readers and especially when they come through from fellow Fiskateers

This morning I received some gorgeous projects along with some details from Beryl who lives in Rangiora in the Sth Island of New Zealand.

Beryl is an active Kiwi Fiskateer who loves to share her projects with others....here's what she had to say.................

Special 60th Birthday Gifts

 

First off I made the easel card.

That inspired me to make a covered notebook & post-it pad holder

 

Then I needed a box for the card, so I made that.  Wrapping how

was I going to wrap the gifts?  Ok lets stamp some calico &

use a quilting pin to hold it together.   Done.

 

Next need something to carry it all in, ok let’s make a bag from

calico coloured cardstock & stamp it. Final touch, the label.

 

Don't you think Beryl has done an amazing  job of all these projects......in fact.....I have more to share next week with you all......some gorgeous Quilts that Beryl has completed....and another a work in progress......so make sure you drop by next week.

PS....can you spot the Fiskars Tools that Beryl has used?
