WOOHOO...... I'm now a SENIOR

Thank you to my family and friends for all your kind birthday wishes for my " 60th " birthday on Thursday Mar 21st......  I really appreciate all of them....THANK YOU!

So I'm now officially a SENIOR.....OMG.... you know what that means don't you.....cheaper MOVIE TICKETS......woohoo............I no longer have to pay full price......it's been nagging away at me the past 2 years....because every time Rod and I go to the movies...he has only paid like $9 whilst I would pay $18.....LOL!

I'd like to share a couple of lovely handmade cards that I received from some FISK-A-FRIENDS this week...........firstly from Anna from Monbulk...thank you!

Anna always creates the most stunning cards and it's an absolute pleasure to be the recipient of this card.......xoxo Anna.

.....and my Scrapping buddy Carolyn....sent this over from Western Australia....

I love receiving cards......but when they are handmade....my heart melts...I love the thought that goes into anything handmade.....thanks Carolyn and Jim!

...and my family.....all put in and gave me the most gorgeous gifts.....thanks to my hubby Rod my 4 boys.....Brendan,Michael, Brian and Tim....Sally,Jess,Jess....and Sam and Gemma.................they are my birthstone Aquamarine with Diamonds.....

I'm so blessed to have such a wonderful caring family and friends...thank you all!

What fun times ~

One of my favourite jobs with Fiskars has been my involvement in Craft Shows......I have loved working with the Fiskars Craft Teams around Australia in past years......co-ordinating the demonstrators and organising projects......we always had such fun sharing our love of craft with others.

FISKARS CRAFT STUDIO in Melbourne ~ Lyn

Hi everyone,

 WOW.....What fun we have all had the past week crafting up a storm in Melbourne at the Craft and Quilt Fair.

 Our Fiskars Craft Studio TEAM were run off their feet literally each day of this Fair..... I have just uploaded a few of the many pics I took.......back later with some more....Annemarie Campbell was a welcome addition to our TEAM........she was kept busy each day with enquiries......as you can tell by this pic......the ladies loved listening to her and were fascinated by her wealth of Quilting/Sewing knowledge....

Phillipa was kept busy at the till each day and it was nice to see that smile after consumers purchased their goodies......Pip was a hard worker every day .....

The Fiskars sewing/quilting tools were popular......and both Annemarie and Adrienne also had some of their gorgeous work with them on display....they were just stunning creations......

Cindy and I got into photography mode late yesterday......LOL! SO with camera pointed....we took each other taking pics.....LOL!

Now only Scrapbookers do those crazy things.....RIGHT?

ok.....Cindy has sent this through........thanks Cindy......I know.....we Melbourne ladies are crazy!

Flash back demonstration in Bairnsdale Spotlight

One of my favourite stores to demonstrate in over the past 10 years has been in Spotlight Bairnsdale......over the years I have grown to know the lovely staff and whenever I have done a Fiskars Demonstration the staff have been very appreciative......here's a little trip down memory lane.......having attended several Spotlight Christmas VIP Nights in this store. This was in 2011.....

What a fun day in Spotlight Bairnsdale today

 

What a fabulous day I have had in Spotlight Bairnsdale today ......paper crafting up a storm with the kids and parents alike........the kids had their faces painted and then came and created a Butterfly or a Gift Card with me.......they loved it and so did I!

 

We made Christmas Butterflies to attach to cards or the kids could wear them ...which many chose to do......I was very impressed with the great turn out today.....and it was lovely to see parents encouraging their kids to craft....thank you all for a wonderful fun day!!

    

Kate and Rachael loved creating their own cards .... the kids found the Fiskars Squeeze Punches so easy to use.....

Store Manager Kelly's daughter...Gemma...did a fantastic job of the Kids Face Painting along with her friend.........I really love how all the Spotlight Staff in Bairnsdale get into the Christmas Spirit....

Thank you to the three ladies who came in especially to ask how to use the Ultra Shape Express Shapecutter......all managing to use it with ease after a little play .....well done! ...guess what Template that just had to have .......after using the USE on the butterlfy template they had to have it...must admit it is one of my favourites!

 
 It was lovely to be able to see the kids playing with the Fiskars Tools and then being able to assist parents to purchase.....I am looking forward to returning home tomorrow after being away from home for over a week......

........gosh these were great days.......and to think that I have been doing demos for 10 years....8/9 in this store in East Gippsland....I remember my first demo there when I was given a card table to demo the Fiskars Eyelet Setter Punches......LOL! Can you imagine trying to punch on this.....LOL! I just laughed and tried improvising by using the floor and a  small wooden board that I always carry in my trolley.....OMG...they were fun days......he,he.

My oh my......how things have changed......this store now have great demo tables and they also provide table cloths and chairs......Coral and the craft team do a great job in Bairnsdale Spotlight.

What a fun day in Bairnsdale

 

I love it when I go into stores like Spotlight Bairnsdale and the kids come and play with their parents.....we sure had some EASTER fun today....

Adrian sure had fun creating his fun Pop up Chick Card that he made with his Nana today for his Mum......what a lovely thing to do....good on you Adrian...lovely meeting you and your Nana today....I'm sure your Mum shall love your handmade card...

It's great when the kids come into the stores to craft...they really just go-for-it with the fabulous Fiskars Punches.....

I have loved demonstrating in stores for FISKARS......interacting and educating others with the Fiskars Tools! My in-store involvement has been so rewarding.......

to RUSSIA with LOVE - exciting travel plans ahead

Hi everyone,

Gosh......it's hard to believe that we are already into the month of March.....the year seems to have flown by so quickly.....probably because I have been working 5-6 days a week at the BLUE LOTUS WATERGARDEN in Yarra Junction since December 26th(Boxing Day)

I help out in Reception ,Gift Shop and Nursery......it's a fabulous place to work at!

So I haven't had that much time to craft since Christmas......but come April I hope to get back into scrapbooking my family pics and maybe some travel pics.....talking of travel.....hubby and I are off to RUSSIA in May this year.....so I'll be blogging along on my personal Blog Lyn's Thoughts if you wish to follow our journey.....

......we shall be travelling by boat from St Petersburg to Moscow.......for 15 days and then stopping over in Singapore for 4 nights on the way back.......can't wait to visit the Gardens by the Bay again......they are spectacular gardens......and well worth a second visit.

In RUSSIA we'll visit the Kremlin,Red Square,Peterhof Palace,go on the Moscow Metro Train ,Moscow Circus,Moscow Ballet,meet a real Cosmonaut,visit Catherine's Palace and St Basel's Cathedral as well as visiting some of the smaller towns in between St Petersburg and Moscow.

They have some of the best Linen in Russia so I can't wait to see some and maybe purchase some to bring home. I'm looking forward to learning more about the Russian Culture and the history of Russia.

It's a special year for me.....nearly the BIG "60"  I know I'm sooooooooooooo old aren't I....LOL! I chose RUSSIA as our holiday destination for 2013.......then in 2014 we celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary...so we have booked to go on a South Pacific Cruise. during April next year......so exciting travel times ahead for my hubby and I....can't wait!

Good morning everyone,

Sad news travels fast I know.....but hey....all good things must come to and end at sometime right!

It has been an absolute pleasure to work with the Fiskars Craft Team and Fiskars Australia for the past 10 years....the past 7 contributing to the Fiskars Craft Blog.....and 10 years as a Demonstrator and Ambassador.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my Role as Lead Ambassador and would like to thank you all for dropping by our Blog,contributing to the Blog from time to time,joining in with Challenges,leaving comments and feedback.....THANK YOU!

We thought it might be a nice way to wind up our Blog by having some FLASH BACK favourite project posts on here for the rest of March.................what do you think? Want to take a trip down memory lane with us the next few weeks?
