Back again with the Focus card for this week.

Yet another birthday down here!

Used up plenty of scraps for this card.

 

Had a blast playing around with my Fiskars Block Party Squeeze Punch too to create this one.

Birthday Wishes to a Special Little Friend

Something nice and bright and bubbly this week.

Miss Kiah and Mr Nate had a party of a little friend to attend so a card was called for.

Played around with some old left over chipboard alphas, texture paste, recycled card and water coloured digi image for this one.

Plus made a fancy paper ribbon trim using two of my favourite Fiskars Interchangeable punches.

A Punching Event !

Hello again.

Here's my Focus card for this week.

A card I made for my Mother in Law's Birthday.

Nice and bright and bold.. just the way she likes her cards.

Once again played with my Fiskars Interchangeable Punches.

This week I used my Groovy Rainbow Interchangeable Punch.

With Much Sadness in Our Hearts

Hey there.

Back this week with a somber type of card.

Had my father's Uncle pass away and was asked to make a card to send over to Holland to the family.

This week I pulled out some old favourite Fiskars punches to make some flowers for the card.

A special gift for my Mum with Love

Well.. this month was a busy one for not only me but my Mum also.

This month not only was it Mother's Day for her but it was also her birthday.

Unfortunately for her every year her birthday either falls on the Day before or after Mother's Day and occasionally on Mother's Day!

I always however make an effort to make separate cards and celebrate both occasions separately if we can.

So this year we took my mother out for her birthday (this year was the year her birthday was the day before Mother's Day) and made her this card for her special day.

We gave her vouchers to buy her new lounge suite with for her birthday too! Which was a nice little surprise for her!

The because we didn't get a chance to see my Mum on Mother's Day (we caught up the day before and we due to see her again on the Monday following Mother's Day) I made her this card and played around with my favourite Fiskars Interchangeable punch again!

Bit hard to see the first part of the greeting on the card due to the lighting unfortunately.. but is does say SUPER MUM

I also made her a mini canvas to hang in her home... just something to remind her to smile and laughter no matter how tough things get.

For A Special Friend

Hello all.

Been busy here crafting my heart away.

It has been a VERY busy couple of months here with birthdays and holidays galore.

So because I have been busy making up SO many cards it got me thinking...

Why not show you every week a card I have created and also showcase a Fiskars tool and the way that I have used it.

So...

Okay... so I guess I will share now....

Seeings as how the crop here in Adelaide was last weekend and all ... I can share now...

Here's what we created.

 

 

 

We played with lots of napkins, texture paste, butterflies and HEAPS of Helmar goodness... think we used the whole range of Helmar products on these canvases!

I must also say a HUGE thanks to Kate Mason for reintroducing me to my much loved napkins...

Been a while since a played with them like this, though have used plain napkin lots lately for textured look on my canvases.

A Special Birthday Wish

Today is a very special day for my family.

Today is my Father's 70th birthday.

We are away on holidays at the moment but have been lucky enough to have my parents come and stay with us for a few days.

Luckily enough I have been able to spend some quality time with my parents and get to spend the day with my Dad for his birthday.

So.. I got busy creating before I went away with a little help from Helmar Krystal Kote and Fiskars Interchangeable Punch to create a special card before we went away (too hard to pack lots of scrapping stuff this time round). By using my Fiskars Dream Weaving Interchangeable punch cartridge, I was able to jazz the card up quickly with a paper and ribbon bow.

Such a cheap way to make a card look super special and to give it a little dimension too.

I played around with a digital image again too and my water colour pens. I loved this image because it reminds me of Wind in the Willows. This was one of our favourite books to read when we were little. My Dad loved reading this to us.

So here's wishing my Dad a very Happy 70th Birthday.

You are my supportive rock, my inspiration and someone I truly love.

Lots of Punching Fun

Hello all.

A few weeks ago I challenged the girls here at our Adelaide Fiskars Crop with lots of fun with punching.

At this crop we had fun creating an off the page item, a topiary tree. I wanted to show the girls different ways to create flowers using many different Fiskars punches.

Here's what we created...

Can you see all the Fiskars punches that I have used to create the different flowers ?? I even managed to create one using one of the new Fiskars interchangeable border punches (the spiky looking flower).

And who knew there was so many different types of flowers that you can create using the Fiskars Scalloped Circle Squeeze punch !

As you can see from this photo I got the girls punching to the hearts content... hehehe or not.. We played around with one of the new Fiskars interchangeable punches to jazz up the bottom of the pot.

The finished result that the girls created was amazing. I loved seeing them play around with the punches.

We all agreed too that the new Fiskars Interchangeable punches are so nice. Both designs and storage of them is great. I cannot wait to play wth the punches so more.
