Ok I'll admit it I love circles! Love using them as embellishments on my pages. Circles also work so well on cards too.

Class one:
Classroom 3
Crazy Overload with Ngaire Bartlam.
Use a 7" x 5" landscape photo to fashion a most embellishment-rich, seriously wonderful soft colour layout. ( This can be a black and white or colour photo..) Let your imagination go a little bit mad with this class. Guaranteed fun and a completed layout to boot!
Bring along your Expo tool kit plus sandpaper or emery board, craft hammer, bone folder, stapler, needle, black thread. Please bring diamond glaze, dimensional magic, crystal lacquer or kindy glitz if you have it. (not essential.)
Suits advanced skill levels.

Mini Lots of Colour Memories with Ngaire Bartlam.
Using 10 - 12 mini photo images(**** images I used are each 4.5 x 3.5cm, approx passport photo size.) They can be black and white or colour, ( I used colour). Create a fabulous bright colour layout that really tells a story. Using teeny frames and handcrafted embellishments, you can devise something totally cool and original, and get ten photos out of that pile at the same time!
Bring along your Expo tool kit plus sandpaper and emery board, craft hammer, boner folder, stapler, needle, black thread. Please bring diamond glaze, dimensional magic, crystal lacquer and kindy glitz if you have it. ( Not essential.)

I will leave you with this .. which says it all about ANZAC Day for me .
They shall grow not old,
As we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them,
Nor the years condemn,
At the going down of the sun
And in the morning
We will remember them.

Hi everyone,
I just love teaching the Kids Club and the Scrap Club classes each lot of school holidays at Simply Scrapbooking in ELTHAM, Victoria.
Here's the 10 delightful participants from last Wednesday's class.....this is the 10-14 year old group.
As you can see they were creating a fun girly layout using the Cloud 9 Dee's Cottage papers....I got the kids to cut up the flowers, doodle on some of them.....doodle around some.....add a few swirls.....and then add some fun words......they also were asked to bring along 2 landscape pics.......and here they are all working away........such a fabulous group.....thanks girls!!...........xoxox Lyn

Just like this Hot Air Balloon....our Demonstrators shall now not only be on Cloud 9 but also "flying high" now they are officially Certified Fiskars Demonstrators....woohoo........LOL!
mmmm great ad for Tea Drinkers.......oh well......saw this overhead yesterday whilst on the way to the Tullamarine Airport.Just thought it fits in with this post......
ok here it it comes......a full report from last Friday's Certified Fiskars Training as seen through my eyes....
These Certified Fiskars Training Days are something quite new in both the US and now Australia.
In Australia and New Zealand we have some of the finest crafters who often are involved in Demonstrations for FISKARS.........whether in-stores at Shows......teaching at Retreats, etc, etc.
We want to empower these Demonstrators with both the skills and knowledge to help other crafters ....to not only use the FISKARS TOOLS ....but to use them correctly. To offer some useful people skills and ideas to make their time at events much more enjoyable and successful! Sharing the FISKARS love a bit more with other crafters and non- crafters alike......
We have many of our Ambassadors that are also Demonstrators......it's this whole Program here in Australia and New Zealand that we want to EMPOWER! Let's pool our talents and resources and let's help others to do the same.......together we shall craft up a storm!!Crafting helps you LIVE LIFE.....allows individual development......provides social outlets.......and can open up a whole new world you never knew was out there.......
So with the help of Trea, Nic and Pip from our Head office here in Port Melbourne and Dawn.....we facilitated the very first Certified Fiskars Demonstrator Training Day here in Australia.
To ensure the day went well a lot of pre-planning took place in the lead up to this day......in fact Trea and I had been planning this for the past few months....also involving Dawn and Trina(NZ) in what we were proposing to do.
So it was a case of.......Let's do this ........and let's do this in a meaningful way!
I have posted a slideshow earlier......as that was all I had time to do before today....so scroll back down to yesterday....and you'll see it in picture form.I'll try and add it again under this written report.
The day commenced with a talk from Nic and Phillipa on FISKARS BRANDS......the company side of things.....and Pip's involvement with buyers/ordering.
Nic spoke about the company........mmm....couldn't wind him up.......LOL! (Sorry Nic)........yes...I know...I should talk he's mumbling under his breath.......he,he.
Seriously Nic's talk was fascinating and the girls were so pleased to see and hear about the company they work for.
Next up was a talk by Dawn Stan ....my fellow Aussie Lead Ambassador........Dawn spoke about her media and blog involvement role with Fiskars. Thanks Dawn........very informative......very interesting....and Dawn is working so hard behind the scenes........thanks Dawn!
We then had a little game...." know your neighbour"....bit of fun! Also gave the girls a chance to get up and walk around......followed by some New Release talk from Trea......ooh...by now the girls were drooling......and I mean ......drooling!! They were like women possessed..........ROTFL!
Lunch followed...time to socialise and mingle......then the afternoon was more about HANDS-ON!
TOOLS WORKSHOP........the girls were given their Demonstrator Manuals.....and we went through all the bits and pieces in this.....and then it was.......time to PLAY!
Trish was inducted with her new Fiskars Apron.......so funny.....we invented the new Fiskars Apron Tango Dance......ROTFL!
I'd like to thank all the girls for coming in and making the day so successful......thanks also to all the HO Staff for their involvement in the day. THANK YOU!
Being the first training session......we were not too sure how it would be received.......so if any of the girls are around....feel free to leave a comment under here to let others know what you thought!
I'll leave you with the pics again.......
Happy Crafting everyone!

Thankyou to everyone that left a comment and shared their ideas on gifts for the teachers. I loved reading all the different ideas and hopefully you've all helped out some others who were totally stuck on what to give this Christmas.
If you haven't yet seen all the great ideas shared, please check out the comments left on the original thread here.
As promised a lovely pack of Brittany's Castle papers, ribbons & rub-ons will be winging it's way out to one lucky person who left a comment and shared their ideas. For this I enlisted the help of a random number generator and the generator spat out comment number 25..
Congratulations to Melanie - I really loved your idea of the mini books for the teachers, especially getting the kids to write a little note each too :) If you could email me your details, I'll get your RAK off to you straight away.
Thanks again everyone for sharing your wonderful ideas...
Cheers Paula

Well I managed to get myself organised this week and I got stuck into the Christmas gifts for the girls teachers. I hate leaving things until the last minute, especially as life gets more and more hectic the closer Christmas and the end of the school year gets. I made these last year for the teachers and they were a huge hit - I had one teacher showing it off to all the other teachers in the staff room and I had requests left, right and centre from many of them LOL.

So what have I done? Well I've simply decorated a couple of lunchpails and stuffed them full of reward stickers, certificates, bookmarks, note pads, a merit rubber stamp set and finished it off with a mini disk which holds all the certificate images for when the tin needs replenishing.
**click on images for a larger view**
This is a simple project which only took me an afternoon to decorate and then a bit of time to print certificates etc. off and cut them out. I'm so not used to making anything "boy" related LOL and it was a little bit of a challenge to make the one for Laura's teacher - I really had to resist the urge to stick a flower and some ribbons on it ROFL. Now don't screw up your face at the name on Dayna's teachers tin - yes it's spelt a bit odd but it's said as "Pyker" believe it or not LOL.

For Mr Steinmans lunchpail I've used the Cloud9 "Meadow" Collection papers, tab stickers and This 'n' That Sticker Accents (available at Kmart). I've also used the Tag Squeeze Punch and Basic Font stamp set.

For Miss Peucker's lunchpail I've used the Heidi Grace "Oh So Moody" Collection papers, Add-on Punchouts and Photo Borders (available at Lincraft). I've also used some Heidi Grace Small Alpha Rub-ons for the tag and inside tabs (available Big W).
The poem used on the inside lid is called "Teachers" by Kevin William Huff...
There you have it, the teachers gift are all done and dusted, ready for delivery
So now it's your turn to share - what are you doing for the teachers this year? Are you making something special or purchasing something? Whichever you do, please share your ideas by leaving a comment on this post. Everyone will go into a random draw for a RAK - I have some lovely Brittany's Castle Sparkle Papers, Ribbon & Rub-ons sitting here waiting for a new home :) I'll draw the winner next Sunday.
Cheers Paula
