Baby card made from scraps

Hi. Thought I'd share a card I completed the other day from some scraps in my scrap folder.

 

The tools I've used to create this card are the ultra shape xpress and circle template, plus of course my trimmer (my most used Fiskars tool!).

It was very easy to create, with a little bit of layering, a rubon and a journaling spot big enough to cover most of the card.

It was created for one of our prior ambassadors Andrea who has had her beautiful baby boy. Luca. Congrats to Andrea, Daryl and Isla!

February Inspiration - Around my garden

Today we'd like to prompt you to look around your garden. What do you do there? Is it a jungle, a playground, a sanctuary or a vege garden? What would you like it to be? Any chance of it getting there? Maybe you've recently done some garden renno's? Some before and after photos would look amazing.

Trina has created a LO about her oldest boy being a gardener. How he loves to help his Dad and has used a specific set of photos to talk about that aspect of their garden. She does quite a few garden LO's so decided concentrating on something specific would be good this time around.

 

In her LO Trina has used a gorgeous new range of papers by Kimberley Poloson.

February Inspiration- My family

Today we're challenging you to look at your family and create a LO based on that. It might be something simple, like "here we all are", something you like to do together, or a mixture of many things?

In my example, I've used a rare photo of all of us to create a LO, then talked about what we were doing.

Its good to have this done. I recon you'll like it too once you get one done.

Who remembers GNI?

Ok, so who remembers Girls Night In, sponsored right here on the Fiskars blog?

Whew! You do?! The reason I ask is that it was sooooooo long ago and I'm feeling very remiss about how long its taken me to do this.

But I hear on the grapevine that a certain LO I did for a certain Maursie has reached its destination so I can share it with you now.

Maursie bid at the auction on a LO done by myself. And as I was sooooo late in getting it to her I thought she deserved a double. Now those of you who know me, know that I dislike intensely creating doubles as they just seem harder (anyone remember when they started scrapping, only being able to do doubles and not singles? What happened there?! LOL).

But when Maursie sent me a heap of photos, it was actually really easy to do. An idea immediately came to mind and I put it into action at a recent crop.

So Maursie, I really hope you like it, and more importantly, my apologies for taking so long!

The scan was done at night so there is a difference in colour. But I'm sure you get a good idea.

I used the gorgeous Cloud 9 Sunrise Smoothy range of papers, along with one of my favourite Fiskars punches - Threading Water.

I really wanted the photos and journaling to be the key to this LO so kept the LO relatively simple, with a large space on the left hand side for Maursie to do her own journaling.
