One of our very talented and passionate Fiskars Craft Ambassadors celebrates her 40th Birthday today!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY WENDY!
I was fortunate to be invited to Wendy's 40th celebration party on Saturday night in Melbourne along with her many family members and friends!
I was greeted at the bar by Wendy's Uncle Trevor...check out his apron.......LOL!
Nice to see the Fiskars Apron getting a good work out by a male........LOL!
It was a fabulous fun night and it was a pleasure to be able to be there on Saturday with Wendy and her wonderful hubby Duncan and their many family and friends........this lady is loved by so many people......she has touched the hearts of many a crafter over the years......and Wendy sure knows how to have fun in her life.....she radiates enthusiasm...is passionate about Fiskars products......and she is a mad Hawthorn AFL Supporter......and don't I know it.....LOL!
Feel free to leave Wendy a message below here in the comments section to help make her day special.....I know she'll be on-line today at some stage as she's as bad as I am on the internet.....he,he.

Well it's only hours away now until the doors open at PAPERIFIC CRAFT EXPO tomorrow....
......I love working at this show....and although Stacey Apeitos has sold.....Naomi Swan shall continue to ensure that this show remains one of the best in Australia for PAPERCRAFT LOVERS! It really is a friendly and fun Show....a show that both retailers and consumers always support!
I'm working for Naomi on the door on the Friday/Saturday....watch out for Fiskars Demonstrator Dianne Whiteside on Saturday as she is working on the CATCHY CRAFTS STAND demoing FISKARS TOOLS. and Dina is bringing heaps of Fiskars Tools.
SO if you are coming in....I'll see you on the door.....and Dianne shall also see you and be only too happy to answer any qestions you may have about the FISKARS TOOLS.......I know Dina is going to have all the NEW Border Punches along with lots of others Fiskars Tools on her Stand......eyelet setters,scissors,trimmers,templates,Shapecutter,Cloud 9 stamps,fingertip tools,etc.
Look who else is coming.....I'm sure some of these retailers will also be selling Fiskars Tools!

Hi Everyone
We are off to a great start with this challenge, it is so much fun. It certainly gets you out of your box and helps you try new things.
My Criteria was
cardboard and paint- the sun punch outs were cream cardboard
I used the Fiskars Soleil Squeeze punch and Paint is Making Memories Shopping Bag.
cardstock optional - I did not use anyI have used a picture taken while on a city tour in melb recently. This is the corner of Flinders and Swanston St a big main intersection. The building is Flinders St Station, our main hub for suburban trains in Melb. I love our city and it was certainly bathed in sunshine this day. With the City Circle Tram and the Station this is classic melbourne.
I dont have any journaling on here as I think the picture says it all.

Sharing another creation using the Cheerful Bee Range.
It was fun to alter this mannequin, I have never tried anything like this before.
I had left over strips from a layout I created, so I decided to put them to good use and dress this up.
I purchased the Mannequin from Lincraft.
I used my Fiskars Border Punches to create the frills on the dress.
The ribbon is from my stash.

Inspired to think outside the square and use items around the home to craft, here is my share.
While browsing the Target catalogue, I saw pictures of these shirts. I had an idea to use them as embellisments on a card. This would make a cool birthday card, fathers day card, anniversary card or a just cos i love you card, for the special men in your life.
I cut the pictures of the shirts, mounted them on cardstock and them foam mounted the cardstock to my card to add dimension.
I have also used the Fiskars Apron Lace border punch for the border around my card.
The brown ribbon is from a local craft store
The stamps are from my stash and I have used a black ink to stamp the words.

I was lucky enough to get my hands on this gorgeous Range called Cheerful Bee from Heidi Grace to play with.
The range just comes together beautifully and I had so much fun creating this layout.
I cut out some of the flowers from patterned paper, I used my craft knife and my Ultra Shape Xpress to do this and used foam mounting tape to give my layout some dimension.
I drew my title free hand and cut it out with my brilliant Fiskars Microtip Scissors.

Here is my picture for red, this is my cousin Dianne who has just arrived in melbourne from Delhi, India. I love this picture of her and she really does look gorgeous in red.

Day 1 of the show is done and dusted. It was fun, frantic full on. We were flat chat all day at our stand.
We had a demo area, make and take tables, a quilting demo table and a shop.
There were bargains galore and the shoppers swarmed. It was the warehouse sale on a smaller scale, but it was still busy most of the day.
Trea and Phillipa from Head Office worked the registers and did not stop.
Dawn Lyn Rosemary and I worked on the demo tables and helped all the ladies who stopped by with their make and takes.
Dawn and Lyn also taught an album in a box class and the ladies who came past after, absolutely loved it.
Annemarie and Adrienne, were our two talented quilters and had lots of ladies watching them work all day too.
Our stand was busy all day and it only got quiet late in the afternoon.
It was great to see all the ladies sit and create and have fun.
Thank you ladies for stopping by and sharing some of your day with us, to all the new friends we made, we hope you continue to have fun crafting. We hope you will all stop by the blog often and share in some creative fun with us.
I hope all of you who are going to the show over the weekend have a wonderful time and come home with some goodies and lots of ideas for future crafting.
