What fun times ~

One of my favourite jobs with Fiskars has been my involvement in Craft Shows......I have loved working with the Fiskars Craft Teams around Australia in past years......co-ordinating the demonstrators and organising projects......we always had such fun sharing our love of craft with others.

FISKARS CRAFT STUDIO in Melbourne ~ Lyn

Hi everyone,

 WOW.....What fun we have all had the past week crafting up a storm in Melbourne at the Craft and Quilt Fair.

 Our Fiskars Craft Studio TEAM were run off their feet literally each day of this Fair..... I have just uploaded a few of the many pics I took.......back later with some more....Annemarie Campbell was a welcome addition to our TEAM........she was kept busy each day with enquiries......as you can tell by this pic......the ladies loved listening to her and were fascinated by her wealth of Quilting/Sewing knowledge....

Phillipa was kept busy at the till each day and it was nice to see that smile after consumers purchased their goodies......Pip was a hard worker every day .....

The Fiskars sewing/quilting tools were popular......and both Annemarie and Adrienne also had some of their gorgeous work with them on display....they were just stunning creations......

Cindy and I got into photography mode late yesterday......LOL! SO with camera pointed....we took each other taking pics.....LOL!

Now only Scrapbookers do those crazy things.....RIGHT?

ok.....Cindy has sent this through........thanks Cindy......I know.....we Melbourne ladies are crazy!

Kits here Kits there....I have Kits EVERYWHERE....it's SHOWTIME

My place has Show things everywhere at the moment......

Nearly finished the Kit Instruction Sheets......PHEW!! Just one Layout to go...woohoo...

These Fiskars Tool Taxis would make great stocking fillers for Christmas....they shall be going out for a SHOW SPECIAL PRICE........less than $10......now that's a bargain!! We shall also have some Tool Taxi Glue refills....also going out for a Show Special Price......but we do have limited qauntities of all these tools................so it's first in best dressed so to speak!!

These Xmas Punches are Fiskars Limited Edition Squeeze Punches (Jingle Bulb).....we'll have them for $10...that's right.....only $10...what a bargain....and just in time to do those Christmas Cards for 2011.......so spread the word...and come visit us in the CRAFT HUB.....ART,CRAFT PAVILION....Royal Melbourne Show......Sept.30th,Oct. 1st and 4th....from 9:30am -5pm.

Included in each Kit are some discounted Passes for next year's PAPERIFIC SHOW!! Now that's a saving of $2 off your entry for next year's PAPERIFIC SHOW...also held at the Showgrounds!

Can't wait to get crafty in the ART,CRAFT PAVILION on Friday......Rosemary, Rod and I shall have 5 different papercrafting Make'n'takes available whereby you can purchase a Kit for a small fee and then sit down and play with us......to create your own project.....Instruction Sheets shall also be in each kit.

We'll be using cardstock and materials from Bella Ranges - Vintage Chic and Blackberry Jam which are now available in LINCRAFT STORES!!

BIGGEST MORNING TEA - a fun day

Well we sure had a fun time yesterday at SCRAPPY HOLLOW for the BIGGEST MORNING TEA. Cancer Council fundraiser.

....I have just been to another one this morning here in the YARRA VALLEY...hosted by a lovely young mum Clare......who used to go to kinder with our Brian........at only 28 years of age and with a little baby girl.....Clare is fighting the battle of her young life...having been diagnosed with Breast Cancer in MARCH last year................she is now about to go through rigourous treatement once again..........

...........I caught up with Clare and her mum and dad and her beautifl baby girl this morning.............was an emotional morning........................but I wish Clare all the best in her battle....she has a very positive attitude and she has fabulous family support.................I just hope and pray she can beat this aweful disease.......................anyway...............here are some pics from yesterday.....all the participants had fun creating two projects....firstly this Favour Box

and secondly some fun cards...we gave the NEW Fiskars Everywhere Punch a good workout along with other Fiskars Tools.............Border Punches,squeeze Punches,Lever Punches,Scissors and Trimmers...............one lady was absolutely delighted when I showed her that her Fiskars Trimmer had a pull out ruler underneath it....................LOL! She hadn't realised it was under there.....

............and the Morning Tea was scrumptious................

......might not all have been real healthy......LOL!  Oh what the heck.....it was yummy!!

We all had a fun time....and I got to catch up with my scrap buddy.....Carolyn who flew down from Alice Springs to attend.........................

We then headed out for some catch up time and shopping at Knox.......so nice to see and hug Carolyn after being apart for 6 months...............she and Jim have sold their home and are travelling Australia in a HUGE BUS.

Thanks must go to Heidi,Sam and Bec at SCRAPPPY HOLLOW and also to FISKARS for providing some fun giveways on the day.............................all participants got a little something!!

I'm hoping to HOST another CANCER COUNCIL event later in the year during OCTOBER......GIRLS DAY IN......shall post further details in a few months......................so if anyone is interested.........please email me

Having a whole lot of fun

Hi everyone,

Just a quick report from tonights fun over at Ferngully Stamps Craft weekend.....these two lovely ladies both won some Fiskars goodness in the door prize giveaways tonight... Julie and Tracy Anne were newbies tonight who were having lunch across the road at Zagame's and saw the sign....so they booked in for a fun night out...they loved it!

It was  lovely meeting you ladies.....and nice to be able to introduce you both to the FISKARS PUNCHES!

Kerry and Maurie gave so many prizes away.....here's another lucky winner...it was great to see some girls crafting with their mums.....

ok...better get to bed as I have an early start tomorrow.....we have 2 Sessions fully booked tomorrow....but there are still a few spots for Sunday if you wish to come and have some fun!

Just ring the store or drop by tomorrow......it really is a fun weekend!! You paticipate in 5 different and fun Workshops...have morning or afternoon tea,meet friends,learn techniques,are introduced to NEW products.....and you come away with 5 fun projects that you create along with a fabulous GOODY BAG on leaving.......

Just a reminder - Craft in Melbourne this weekend

......that  there are two HUGE Papercrafting Events happening in and around Melbourne this weekend!

     and over in the Eastern Suburb or BORONIA.........................Ferngully Stamps (LSS)have their fabulous Demo Dayz Craft Weekend....starting 6pm tonight!! I'm both excited and a little sad....excited to be involved once more with Kerry and Maurie,Marlene and the TEAM at Ferngully Stamps.....offering a fun FISKARS Punches Workshop....but a little sad that I'll miss working with the fabulous PAPERIFIC TEAM!!

 

Sadly I can't be in two places at once so I won't be at PAPERIFIC this time around....but I shall be crafting up a storm over in BORONIA.....loading the car right now for a 3pm get away......

We had a change of plans late yesterday with an SOS to have SAM (grandson)over night and today....so whilst he sleeps I'm loading the car......LOL!! Both my boys are asleep....yes....Rod is rocking the house with his snoring....LOL!  Sam woke us up around 6:45am. this morning with his little chatter......I don't get him up straight away though.....7am is more reasonable.....LOL!

.........so hubby has gone down for a nap at the same time...he,he.

I did enjoy taking Sam for a walk in his pram this morning to see some horses,cows,birds and dogs...

next DIY Workshops in Officeworks- this SUNDAY!!!

Just a reminder that the next lot of FREE How to- DIY Workshops are on in OFFICEWORKS  Stores around Australia  this coming Sunday December 19th......

These Workshops are FREE but it's advisable to check with your nearest store to see what time they are starting....they differ in some stores.....so always pays tp contact the store.

Why not book in and come and make your own Special Occasion Invitation......you shall be stepped through the creative process with a store tutor ......playing with the fabulous Fiskars Tools and the gorgeous papers from Cristina Re Paper Chic Range......

Stores have a few projects to choose from so they may vary in each store......but you shall be very happy with your finished Special Occasion Invitation and I'm sure you shall pick up some tips and tricks along the way...having fun crafting!!

Did you know that Officeworks have a larger range of FISKARS TOOLS in stores now......??

Check out the shelves when you are next in the store......you'll be pleasantly surprised! The range of Scissors is fantastic....from per-schoolers to adults......something for everyone!!

Kids Craft Papercraft Angels in Bayswater

 

Looks like the KIDS CRAFT DAY in Spotlight Bayswater was fun......Fiskars Craft Demonstrator Dianne Whiteside was in Spotlight Bayswater last Saturday Dec. 11 th from 12-3pm crafting with the kids....during her Fynmark/Fiskars Craft Clinic.

What fun for the kids crafting some faboulous Papercraft Angels using the fabulous Fiskars Punches and the Fynmark/Bella Christmas Papers.... 

So if you are looking for something crafty to add to the Kids Stocking this Christmas you can't go wrong with the Fiskars Punches...particularly the Squeeze Punches....they are so user friendly for the kids to use.

....and look how happy the Kids are.....craft does that.....

Ooh I think I can spot Dianne's grand daughter in one of these 

pics......can you guess which one? She looks so much like her mum Rachael.

Fiskars Craft Clinics on Dec. 4th

                                 

Not long until the next lot of Fiskars and Fynmark Craft Clinics in Spotlight Stores around Australia.....just a few days away....ooh...that's this  Saturday December 4th.

I'm also making the road trip to Bairnsdale in East Gippsland......and I'll stay at our HH in Paynesville for a week...............yeh!! I'm doing 2 Craft Clinics down there...Dec. 4th for Fynmark followed on Dec. 11th for Fiskars.......ooh can't wait! Can't wait to catch up with all the East Gippsland Crafters....
