Recycle those CHRISTMAS CARDS.....here's how

ok.....so we all end up with Christmas Cards and if you are like me it's hard to just throw them out....so DON'T.......RECYCLE them...as I have done.

We received some gorgeous Handmade Cards this Christmas so I have decided to re-purpose these.....by just cutting off the top part of the card and attaching this to a new sheet of cardstock....

So I got out my trusty Fiskars Trimmer and started trimming......and here's the re-purposed card that came originally from Tamara...thanks Tam....

Here's another handmade  card that I received from Tracy

...and I turned this into a re=purposed card in readiness for Christmas 2013.

I really loved how Tracy created this Christmas Tree....so now I'm spreading the love a little further next Season.....it's a bit like the gift that keeps gifting.....................

Now with the COMMERCIAL CARDS that we received.....I have decided to make little GIFT BOXES......I just sorted through the ones we received today.....

I started with the Square Santa Card........thought this would make a cute little Gift Box.................

Firstly I got out my Fiskars Trimmer and used both the trimming blade and the scoring blade...................I also used my Fiskars Microtip Scissors and Circle Hand Punch and 3 in 1 Corner Punch on the Tag

So now I have another Christmas Gift Box suitable to hold a Voucher/Gift Card....maybe some soaps,perfume,sweets,etc....

All made from a Christmas Card......for further HOW TO instructions on creating the little box......you can view my Video here

I hope I have inspired some of you to have a go at recycling your Christmas Cards......and keep spreading that love of GIVING......don't throw your cards in the bin.....re-cycle....re-purpose....and have fun !

Christmas Table Centre Piece Video

Well it's that time of the year when I make my Christmas Table Centrepiece....here's a little HOW TO

Video I did last Christmas....it might inspire you to get creative on your table this year.

 

I'm working on my one for this year over the next few days....will share soon. I always love to make these and they really add to the table setting.....but once we sit down to eat.....I have to remove it to fit everything else on the table.....LOL!

                             Make sure you turn your sound UP!!

Gift Boxes from Used Cards

With the festive season well and truelly here...why not recyle some of your old Christmas Cards and turn them into some fun little Gift Boxes......

                                       (turn your sound UP )

These are great for all those little presents....you know....Jewellery,soaps,sweets,cufflinks,Gift Cards,Memory Cards,USB,etc. These could also be used for Teacher Gifts....maybe fill them with Kids Stamps,stickers or perhaps a little bottle of perfume or soaps.....just a thought..................

You could also adapt this idea using other cards.....eg.. Birthday,Wedding.....nice to be able to recyle and reuse those lovely cards.

Mini Album with Endorsed Prima Educator Stephanie Miller

Hi all

Posted on Live with Primas wall on Facebook was a tutorial video of how to make a super cute and fast journal (or mini Album).

I decieded to give it a go and check out how to make this Journal and really was drawn by the ease and awesome bubbliness of Stephanie Miller....

Fiskars Scissors help create mixed media flowers

I found this fabulous Video Tutorial online and loved how Michelle Grant has used her Fiskars Microtip Scissors to cut out the circles for her Mixed Media Flowers....

Might give this a go myself.....looks like a whole heap of fun doesn't it......
